Is some of that land you are farming heavy enough to hold a mole drain? It also looks as though you need to melt some metal subsoiling tramlines and headlands at least before the soils get too wet just like very many other farms. Another thought, what are your drain outfalls and ditches like? A fully detailed walkaround of all your ditches might really pay handsome dividends this winter if the rainfall is any thing like the last one to highlight blockages or choke points.

It’s bad news when your yield is down so much. My mate farms and he’s got small grains too but his Winter Barley came in at three and a quarter ton per acre. He’s hoping to get onto wheat this week so I’ll let you know how he gets on. Just North of Ripon.
I don’t no really I have bought second hand and the price of second hand across the board is very similar. But bran new probably be a little more expensive I would have thought. The tractor is very well set out and once you no how to use it they are the best tractors for sure . I am sure they are reliable but the one I have bought is a 2016 model with 5000hr on it so a lot of wearing parts need charging but Tns were I bought it from has been very good to me .
Good tractors till they get about 10 yrs old and about 6000 hrs and if the gearbox goes faulty say goodbye to £15,000 pounds hence ours have gone. Don't say they all will but they get very tired
It’s a lot easier to change knife sections, now they are bolted, different years ago when they were riveted, changed many knife sections with the whole knife out of the combine and using the trailer draw bar as an anvil, chiseled the old rivets off and then fitted new rivets 😂👍
