This is NOT the 'iconic' recording but an outake of the 'corona' show... The 'real' recording has a Stroh-violin in the refrain line. This recording here has no violin at all. In an interview with Burnet the interviewer calls the violin a 'ghost-violin', which is misheard Stroh-violin, which is named at the sleeve-text of the original. Burnet published the soundtrack without Dylan singing.
Put Elvin on salary. Give the gent a contract. That was great! I'm so loving this. One of the all-time best ERKs, and, I believe, my favorite episode so far from Bob Land 2024. Sounds like this band is really starting to cook it up. Thanks for sharing this! And the great camera work.
In the mid- 70's, when was in high school, Elvin was playing all over in the eastbay of S.F. I remember them on a flatbed truck one time. It was always so exciting to see him.
