Northern Nevada's Largest Garden Railroad. This G Scale Garden Railroad travels thousands of feet track, dozens of tunnels, double mainline, indoor helix, and several bridges and viaducts. We also feature lots of other related videos on the hobby as well as TRAINLI TV
Now, that was a loooong train ride! 😊 But soon you could use one of these for the sweeping the leaves off the tracks… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-udz3NIXKtfs.htmlsi=-mMafL4f4IMXKeGE 🧐
Hello sir, your videos are very nice but none of your videos have so much viz because none of your videos have seo done perfectly. Due to which you are not getting views on videos and subscribers to channels organically
Absolutely Awesome! 🎉. Can't wait to see more progress. I'm in the UK building a mere 30ft loop & that seems difficult enough 😂. Love the bathroom tiles idea for the viaducts. The concrete idea is great for big layouts too.
Stunning layout amd garden scene. You have clearly put a lot of thought and time into your creation. Its amazing. Well done. And gees id love to be your neighbour!!!
Hello/ Gruezi, Hawley, How can you lay this curb on a side slope, the machine is far to wide, with the wheels for a roadbed on a steep slope or narrow valley? Do you first build up the ground to the elevation you want, then compact the base, pour the roadbed, and then build the slope after it. So essentially much of the landscape is all created? I admire your courage of putting a double slip switch in the middle of a tunnel! one of the most derailment prone pieces of trackwork and it'll be hidden. I hope that works. I know these are excellent turnouts, but that is one area I wouldn't cover; also nice to see trains maneuver through that. I hope you'll give us an update on how that works. The view from up on the double 8 area is spectacular!! What an amazing thing to get to build a layout many of us dream about creating, with miles of track to follow trains along. I appreciate all the tips on ways to build portals and bridges, with the sheet tiles and back splashes, and also tips for things like drainage between the tracks, one of those things people don't think about until it's too late. Do the drains collect the water someplace, or pour into existing waterways you have? Good source for water for your plants. Thanks for sharing the updates on this amazing railway!
It is kind of inaccurate that the engines play the national anthem. The song "The Star-Spangled Banner" did not become the official national anthem of the U.S. until 1930, and the Driving of the Golden Spike took place in 1869.
Cement is a great base. My 1/4” minus roadbed also required renewing annually. I staggered joints be 6-8” so rail joints were parallel only at switches. Prevents vertical and horizontal kinks and eliminated derailments. Very extensive layout you created. Well planned!
Rabbits are the worst diggers on my railway. I keep animals out of tunnels by installing covers on all the portals. It keeps rabbits, skunks, and raccoons from using them as their bathrooms or sleeping chambers! Of course you have a lot more tunnels to cover than I do.
Is that your engine, Dave? Are you new to the live steam hobby? If you are, welcome! I’ve been in large scale live steam since 1979! I was introduced into the hobby on my eighth birthday!
A very smart railway the only thing I have to say is every time you go through the big tunnel there is nowhere for people to get out of the way like a real tunnel you would have cutouts big enough for someone to stand in to get out of the way, apart from that you must have spent loads of time and money on it 👍.
on this layout they have spent more $ on tek screws to fasten the track down than i have on my whole railway track,,,, see "nikau junction" railway new zealand....timber ties ( sleepers) with slots and 30 x 10 mm track pressed in...cheap effective and rusts like the real thing,,,,,,, to me this aluminium rail looks fake as it stays too bright
Hi. It is easy to get started. There are several companies that make great starter trains. You do not need your own track. There are lots of clubs all over the world that you can run on. Small trains can fit in the back of a pickup truck or small trailer. Thanks for watching!
