i have a red dakota r/t..ec...my wife bought,an seldom drove,the guy told us it would outrun mustangs all day long,and is lowered all over a few inches,it has hypertech,or something that advances timing,i finally quit running midgrade in it,an stuck with 93 octane an no more rattles,got new k an n air filter,an now it will get out from under you, barks tires hard at times,but shifts a little weird etc,,is a little bouncy,but doesnt need shocks,needs headliner, i wanted to go so bad an drag race it today,but too far an cant afford it, wife got cancer in 2013 an died....she would not agree to take it drag racing,we had a red duster for that..now, all is different,an im getin itch to fix passing gear,you have to let off of it..and a few other things,but am allmost positive its faster than stock, pulls fast an hard when warmed up...will valueever go up on these,we rebuilt front end stuff about 8 years ago,..1,300.00 bucks..and much more spent on cat converter long ago,an flowmasters....has stiff springs it seems,dont know what this guy done to it in all..but lowered looks so good except for clearcoat flkaing off etc..and runs so good with premium,an new filter...
matt ivory Damn I thought they were quicker than that. Always wanted a regular cab 318 5 speed Dakota. For some reason I thought it would be a fast little truck.
@@HammerK99 not from the factory. You can do a 5 speed swap on the truck though. Typical mods. Eq heads.m1 intake. Bigger throttle body. Headers. Most importantly a tune from Flying Ryan Performance.
Man, I love these trucks. I have an 01 Dakota QC and an 01 Ram 1500 QC, love them both but I daily with the Dakota more. Great trucks! Great video, I just wish there were events like these in my area.
01 QC 4.7. bore 20thou over. Shaved heads. Free float valve timing. Sealed power pistons. JBA short headers. Throttle spacer. Air aid cold air. No cats. No resonator. 300hp/ 345ft lbs dyno. Wicked fast little truck. Have an 02 QC 5.9 aswell. 6 inch lift 33s. Tons of fab mods done to it including fully armaguard whole truck. Love these trucks.
