Hi Marianne, good video, helpful. How do you scan your larger art works? Do you send them Out? I find that it’s very pricey and a good scanner is very expensive.
Hi Angela, that's a great question. If the art piece is very big and painted on paper, I scan it in pieces (I only have a A4 scanner for this) then I put all these part scannings into a Photoshop file and asamblea the artwork as it was a puzzle. It's a lot if work in the beginning to figure it out so all pieces fit together but with practice it gets easier. As soon as I get a new computer that can handle video editing I can make a video that shows exactly how I do it 😊
I made a pochade box with a wood box I ordered on Amazon for $20. Then replaced the hinges with torque hinges and added a tee nut. I also added a magnet to the bottom of my water container and the bottom of the box to keep that from moving around. Also, I added some brackets to the sides so that I can carry it and also attach it around my neck with a long purse strap to stand up and work if it don’t have a tripod. The whole set up cost about $35. It works great.
@@mariannescheel I took it as a promise, and I subscribed in the anticipation that you would paint an oil pastel piece, soon. Your style and gentle oil pastel technique is fabulous.
🖌️🖍️🙂 Your painting is beautiful! I agree with you about Steadtler, they are more difficult to draw with and the colors are not great, but you did an awesome job! I love CARAN d'ACHE, they are creamy and the color choices are perfect. Thank you for sharing!
Helpful video. Perhaps if you finished your paintings with watercolor pencils, you could still have fine detail but an iron wont melt it, as it is pure pigment abd not wax based pencil.
Happy New Year Marianne! You created so many beautiful works. I am hoping you will participate in the upcoming Valentine Art Challenge with some of this 2/3's remaining!! My favorites are your daffodils paintings, though they are all so beautiful. Hugs to you my friend
Thank you Dena! I might filled that book up in 2 or 3 years, how much can you wait? 😅 I might participate but can't promise. I have already an idea for that challenge but let's see. I have actually bought some new supplies that I would like to try and paint a valentines motive at the same time, why not. I wish we here I DK had adopted the valentines tradition instead of hallowin. I personally prefer to spread love and not scare people. I'll let you know if I manage to make a painting plus video. I whish you a great and wonderful new year. Lots and lots of love from here ❤️🥰
a big piece of gaffer tape along the spine and covers would go a long way to stabilizing that book. I enjoyed the works in your sketchbook. Very inspiring.
I love your narration, little bit of nervousness i feel just like me. But i love love love your videos and your voice is so soothing and pleasant to the ears❤❤. Can't wait for more
Thank you! ❤️ That made me smile 😊 it's so awkward to speak to a camera and hearing yourself when editing the video but I'm getting much more used to it now. I get a it that about my voice, I didn't expect that at ALL when I started the channel. So happy that you enjoy it. Happy Sunday! 🥰🤗
That makes sooo happy. You just say to your self that you can and the opportunities will slowly arrive. I know it's easier said that done, just don't give up 🥰😍❤️
Thank you, Marianne! Every time I see your paintings I smile. 😍🥰 You're amazing - never forget this! ❤️ Wishing you a wonderful weekend (the first one this year!) 💞💞
Seems like a lot of work, I just put my painting in a cotton pillow case, stream iron it on cotton setting cover it with a flat surface and weight. Next day dry, flat and ready to mount.
That sounds much easier than my method and I would try it out for sure had my paintings watercolor alone. But I don't trust the color pencil layers/areas can put up with so much heat so that's why this is what works for me 😊
Thank you! Well actually I'm going to start painting illustrations for the new 2025 calendar in January 😀 I'm just waiting for the contract with the client to be signed and all of that kind of borring things and I might share some paintings once we are ready. If not I'm sure there be plenty of other things to share. So as I say, stay tuned! 😊 ❤️
Your Danish landscape is beautiful, Marianne! So neat to see you alla prima painting in oils with your new pochade box. Your voice is so soothing to listen to, and I love hearing about your process. Your snow shadows are sublime. I have added your wonderful video to the Holiday Art Challenge Official Playlist. Hugs to you Marianne my friend
Thank you Dena! I'm so happy that you like it. So strange to hear that people like my voice. When I started recording videos I didn't like it at all but I'm getting used to it now. Dena thank you for sharing I hope that the playlists you are making are helping your channel too. Mine gets a little push everytime you share my videos, I'm sooo great full for that. May you have a wonderful Christmas and a great start in the new year. Lots of hugs and love from here ❤️🥰🇩🇰
Beautiful painting. It's really helpful and enjoyable to watch the whole process from beginning to end. Thank you, I look forward to watching more from you.
Dear Marianne, a big thank you for another beautiful video and beautiful painting. Unfortunately - I can help you only with likes and encoraging comments. But they all come straight from my heart. I wish you a wonderful Christmas time! 💞
Hi Nisa! You do more than enough with all your lovely comments. I appreciate them soooo much. The thing is that I can see in the statistics of my channel the many views are from people not following so they do find me but if they don't like og leave a comment RU-vid might think it wasn't interesting enough so that's why Im asking them to help me. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 to you too and a loooots of love and big hug from here ❤️ 🥰
Yes... They are scarry those big ones. So making some loose sketches can help definitely specially if you want to paint using other colors that the ones you see in the ref image.
I watched someone who wet the back of paper before doing watercolor…he’s been wetting like this on table before he works on painting. I haven’t tried that yet but I do use even weight to straighten paper after dry too. My watercolors are not that big but I do take care that they are flat. 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽
Yes, this is actually a video for flattening paintings that are already painted and not the paper before painting. We all have those finished paintings that are warped and this is probably a good solution for that problem. Thank you!
Marianne, you're incredible!😊💪 Thank you for bringing us around with you to the market and for showing us around. May the next markets be exctremely successful for you because you absolutely deserve it. I wish you a great weekend, but before that - a deep and peaceful sleep.😴 Sending you a big hug and lots and lots of love ❤🥰💞😘🌻🐞
Thank you so much Nisa! I did get as much sleep as possible and I had a great last weekend, lot's of lovely people came by, made new friends with the other shop owners and best sales ever! So good to see that people here in my area likes my art and want to support me too. Very tired now but also very happy and greatful too. Loooots of love from here. Hope you are doing fantastic too.
@@mariannescheel I'm so so so happy for you, dear Marianne! 🥰 And it's wonderful to hear (read😉) about how much your community suports you. This is it! I know this month will be extremely busy but also immensely satisfieing for you.🤪😁😊 I'm sending you tons of invisible support and love and a big and warm bear hug 💞❤️💞 PS I'm doing great, thank you! 🥰😘
Your gouache painting of the Danish farm with the Icelandic horse is absolutely charming! 🎨 The warm and vibrant colors bring the scene to life, and the details in the farm architecture are delightful. The Icelandic horse is a true highlight, and the choice of brown with a yellow, flowing mane adds a touch of magic. It's like a snapshot of a serene countryside moment, inviting us to appreciate the beauty of nature and the connection between the farm and its animal residents. Wonderful work! 🌿🐴
Sorry for my late response. Thank you so much for those kind words about my work. Yes, it's exactly what I want to achieve with my work painting nature things 🌿🍂❤️
Welcome back, Marianne!!! Your Icelandic horse in a farm setting is beautifully painted. So neat to watch your process- and your buildings are wonderful. I have added your video to the Farm Art Challenge Official Playlist. I hope you will participate in the next art challenge I am planning.
