I am a man and would like electrolysis hair removal on my upper chest (I estimate about 50 - 100 grey hairs). Will it work? I already had laser hair removal which successfully removed the black hair but need the grey hair removed too. Do you remove the hairs individually ?
Yes, electrolysis would work on your hairs. They are removed individually and I would suggest consultation with your local electrologist to find more information about it. I hope that helps.
@@PKaur611 I’ve had it. It causes a little bit of redness but usually fades by the end of the day. Similar to any redness you might see after having laser treatment on the face. You might look a little rose-y but not like you’ve been stabbed with a needle or sunburnt.
@@PKaur611 yes, unfortunately. Depending on the thickness and density of hair. It looks sore and red, and the area may swell too. it does subside after a few days but may continue to feel sensitive for a week or so. As my hair got softer and sparser the skin didn't look so red after treatment (and your skin gets used to it as well)
We have picked a bunch of scrapings off the floor and sealed them in a plastic bag for your delectation. Let us know where you are so we can send them to you?
Thank you for your comment. Resistance feels different to pulling and depending on area, hair type and growth stage, resistance could be felt on many hairs in one area. Pulling should not but I would suggest talking to your electrologist and they should be able to give answers to your particular case.
Thank you for your comment. Our clinic is COVID secure and we take client safety very seriously. So to answer your question, yes, you would be in safe hands. I hope that helps.
@@shabnammansoorie8120 Laser is a permanent hair REDUCTION and electrolysis is a permanent hair REMOVAL. Laser may work well but top ups will be required on the face for a long time, if not forever, and also it's worth remembering that laser treatment may stimulate more facial growth. Here in In-DERM Skin Clinic we never recommend laser reduction on the face. I hope that helps.

The number of treatments required will vary from person to person as each client will have a different density of hair growth (e.g. there may be between 50 hairs and 500 hairs packed into a small area of skin, whilst some clients will have less hair which is spaced out). This means that each treatment course will vary, and therefore no actual figure can be put on the number of treatments required, but you will quickly feel and see a difference giving you the confidence to continue with your treatment course. You will need to have regular appointments over a period of time (at least a year if not more) for most areas. In our clinic prices start with £25 for 15min treatment. I would advise to have a initial consultation first where everything will be explained in great detail.
@@SH-ou9mb Yes, it is possible to treat transplanted hair on the scalp. You will have to have a consultation first where all details and treatment plan will be discussed. Where are you based?

Thank you for your message. Your picture is not very clear but it looks like it is seborrhoeic keratosis. If you are unsure, please go and see specialist or GP to double check.
Thank you for watching and your comment. Yes, this is Thermolysis. According to British Association of Electrolysis and American Electrology Association, there are 3 methods/modalities of electrolysis to choose from in order to tailor treatment to skin type and reaction, and all 3 are capable of permanently removing hair. They are: *Galvanic *Thermolysis (is also called diathermy or RF diathermy in some countries) *The Blend (mix of Galvanic and Thermolysis) Therefore Thermolysis can be called electrolysis as well as other two methods/modalities.
Dear Robert, Yes, it is possible for girls as young as 15-16 to have electrolysis hair removal if they suffer from excessive hair growth due to hormonal imbalances like for example Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Our youngest client is 13 year old. I hope that helps.
