Hi I'm Gina! ♡ I’m a professional Makeup Artist and makeup addict here to share with you reviews on the latest beauty products and all my tips and tricks! Come hangout with me and join my youtube journey!
Oh wow, no wonder I can’t find it. This video is seven years old. Lol Not only is the link not working, but I can’t even find the color of the tube. Did they change colors? Anybody know which product this is now?
I always mention how shaving your face helps your makeup look better & I always get so many questions about it so let’s talk more in depth! We all have hair on our face which is completely normal but it can be the cause of funky looking makeup sometimes & here’s why! Makeup has a tendacy to cling to any hair very easily, this can cause your makeup to do a number of things like look patchy or “cakey”. Think about it like this, what would your foundation look smoother on - a blown up balloon or on top of a kiwi? (😂 this was the only fuzzy thing I could think of) - It’s going to be the balloon as the makeup has a clean smooth surface with nothing in its way to lay flat on. Aside from your makeup laying smoothly, shaving your face has a ton of skin care benefits like exfoliating any dead skin cells - which you will see in the video, not only is that all little baby hairs coming off, it’s dead skin that just needs that extra push to reveal new glowing new skin! Your skin will literally have a glow to it after you do this as dead skin cells can cause us to look more dull and dry! I recommend using a gentle facial razor and nothing too sharp for every day use! PRO TIPS - 1. be careful & go slow around the brows if you try! You can easily take off an eyebrow 2. your skin might be slightly red/irritated for about 30 mins after shaving, I’d wait a couple hours to put any skin care on that might be too harsh or it may sting a bit. 3. Find razors with guards on them & not straight blades! They are more gentle & help prevent cuts.
Hi, I’m playing catch-up here having only discovered that this product exists today! To me, & I would imagine for other people like me, it’s a possible game-changer. I have a degenerative neurological disease, Multiple Sclerosis; one of the many symptoms of which is limited hand mobility, diminished hand co-ordination & strength, decreased mobility & function of the hands. I often experience pins & needles or numbness in my hands, which makes me feel that I am wearing mittens or boxing gloves when trying to complete tasks which require dexterity & movement, as in applying make-up. The blendSMART make-up brush has the potential to allow people with disabilities to apply a flawless finish make-up by themselves again in short period of time, with minimum effort. Due to the nature of my illness I frequently find it difficult to hold my arms up for longer periods of time as necessary when blow-drying my hair or applying make-up - particularly after getting out of the shower when I’ve already exhausted myself just by having to shower, dry & dress myself, before tackling a blow-dry & make-up application. The idea of being exhausted by such a task might sound ridiculous to some readers of my comment, but for those of you who have MS or a condition which causes similar symptoms, you will know exactly what I mean. Multiple Sclerosis causes a long list of symptoms including severe fatigue, muscle weakness, lack of strength & endurance, severe immobility, neuropathic pain, peripheral neuropathy, pins & needles, intractable lymphoedema, blepharospasm, tremor & ataxia, balance issues, vertigo, cognitive brain fog, & spastic paraparesis to name a few. The condition represents one of moderate to severe disability in sufferers, & does, unfortunately, prove progressive. There are times when I just do not have the physical strength to do my own hair or apply my own make-up - I’m fortunate to have my very own Beauty Therapist, MUA & Stylist to cater for all my hair & beauty needs - my daughter is a Beauty Therapist & Hair Stylist. Before my illness progressed to the stage where I had to leave the work force, I worked as a tutor of Beauty Therapy. I qualified with ITEC, CIBTAC, & CIDESCO qualifications & completed a whole host of post-graduate qualifications. I operated my own business, worked freelance as a lecturer & MUA also. I loved my job - but my career was cut short. However, I do look my best, even if I don’t feel it. There’s something about getting up in the morning, showering, carrying out your skin routine, putting on your ‘face’, doing your hair & dressing in clothes that make you look & feel good… even when you’re not feeling it… it helps to face another day, whatever that may bring. My motto used to be ‘fake it till you make it’ - telling myself that by imitating confidence, competence & an optimistic mindset, I could realize these qualities in ‘real’ life & achieve the results that I sought… which pretty much worked! Whilst nowadays it tends to be more ‘fake it’, I still aspire to look & feel the best that I can - but that morning ritual is exhausting - I find it difficult to hold my arms up for any length of time to style my hair & I do not have the same dexterity to use hair styling brushes & tools, or make-up brushes to apply my make-up like I once did, thus rarely achieving the results that I desire. Personally, I can’t wait to save up enough money to buy a blendSMART rotating make-up brush. For me, any & all tools & supports that I can find to help me to carry out tasks for myself, to maintain an active & independent life, to maintain some dignity & self-esteem, & to do the little things that help me feel better about myself are HUGELY welcome. When I finally get the blendSMART brush I feel (& hope!) that it will allow me to apply my make-up with confidence again & to achieve the flawless finish that I once took for granted when applying my make-up each morning before work back in the day. It will be another tool in my arsenal that allows me to continue to lead as independent a life as possible. Whilst some may say, get out of here - it’s only a make-up brush, & an expensive one at that, it could be a game changer for me & others in a similar position. Women around the world put their faces on each morning without giving it a second thought. They don’t think about the dexterity it requires, the amount of hand-eye co-ordination… the strength, the range of motion - why should they??? Most people don’t think about such things until they are faced with a situation whereby the mobility or function of their hands is impaired for whatever reason. I suppose the only time the majority of women (or men) might gain some insight is perhaps after fracturing their dominant wrist or arm, or after a sprain injury etc., & even then they only get a short-term glimpse into the everyday lives of people with disabilities. So in conclusion, I would like to say thanks so much to Gina Ritacco, for her very informative & helpful review of the blendSMART - much appreciated! But also, I have to thank Carol Martin, together with the backing of Steve & Lori Machiorlette, who I believe developed the blendSMART brush. I have to say I commend their commitment to inclusivity & for specially adapting the rotating make-up brush to meet the needs of those of us with limited mobility, impaired hands, & other special needs. The fact that a company would take the extra care to ensure that their product is user-friendly, allowing everyone to achieve a flawless finish make-up application is truly inspiring & certainly helps to reassert my faith in mankind. Recognising the challenges faced daily by those of us with disabilities & doing something proactive within the beauty industry to help us through their all-encompassing mission to break down barriers is to be admired. I can’t wait to try the blendSMART make-up brush & get back into a routine of applying my make-up in the morning to set me up for whatever the day has in store… & looking forward to doing so rather than thinking of it as another task to be overcome!
Is this safe? Or have you had any problems doing this? I know the video is 5yrs old and I'm sure you have probably moved on to different brow fixes but I really need something to make my brows look a little darker & thicker ❤
Hi Ida!! Can’t believe you’re still here I thought no one would be! 🥰 I’ve been mostly on Instagram as my business took off but I’m trying to make more time for RU-vid again! ❤️
Tbh it does give an orange tint, I just got a sample and tried it to see how to use it right, but I don't think it suits pale skin at all. I feel like I've just applied orange tanner. Also it really sticks to my fine lines and emphasizes my flaws. Very minimal coverage not enough that I think it's worth the cake.
I spray it on a glass plate and pick it up with a foundation brush. I do spray it directly on an age spot, and buffed out lightly, it covers nearly as well as concealer. I keep going back to Airflash because I’ve never found a foundation that so closely matches my skin.
Hi! I'm your shade in Nars could you possibly help me out with what color you are in Hourglass ambient foundation and Mac studio fix foundation I searched your RU-vid but didn't see videos for those. Thank you!!
So, funny thing. Though Erborian is registered and made in Korea, it’s parent company is a French one, actually the same that owns l’Occitane en Province, so it’s really popular in France. They have the same cream but for Homme (men) which has a bit darker tone to better match men’s skin. Though I’m gay I’m not big I to makeup, I like a manly face. But still you can do things to have a better tone in general, less pores and a more uniforme color, and this product is great for that. It is the last part of my cream routine for the day. Now this is the important bit : you do need to speak it out with your fingers, do your whole face with your fingers and don’t be afraid because that’s not the final result. After the cream released the pigments and they start to match your face (btw you don’t need to use a lot of it actually, in your video it looks like you are using too much and you’ll only go through the tube faster). After you finish spreading the cc and color with your fingers now go get the brush. I don’t know shit about brushes so I don’t know the name of the one I use but it’s rather tight (if that makes any sens). Now with the brush you want to do the final touches get it more even, run it over your ears and neck so it’s all uniform. It will look way better after that. Just remember to use the brush for the last bit and not to apply it
I’ve been looking for my perfect wedding day foundation and none of them seemed right for me and I remembered that air flash existed so I’ve been watching all the reviews that came out about it forever ago and it seems perfect! I’m so excited. Hope you’re doing well!
