I’m a 48 yo Swiftie and recently showed Long December to a few Swiftie friends, to comment how the lyrics are so evocative like Tay’s! This transition makes total sense.
there has gotta be more...cuz theres the "sing reputation!!" girl in the crowd at the end😂 but in all seriousness..good songwriting is good songwriting so there is overlap but when cc sings it, i realize how sad the song truly is... noone sings depression like adam does😅 this song was meant for him (edit...I am a huge fan of both...its just that when taylor sings sad songs..I still feel hope....😅) sometimes I just need my hope fully stomped out and crushed...and that is where adam comes in 😂(yes i know im emoji-laughing at my own comment)🎉🎉🎉

I'm late to this but I am a newly anoninted Swiftie (I turned 30 this year and I was like oh I like this!) And Counting Crows has been my favorite band since birth. My left arm was supposed to be just for my CC tattoos but now I might make it with some Swiftie stuff on it too. 💞
I was in the front row, lots of people were singing along, but quietly. It was the only song I didn't know that night. I had to look ot up when I got home.
this music got me through highschool back in '99 Its interesting to listen to it now that I'm 29 yrs old and feel what it was like to be a sensitive teenager.
Totally agree with you mikebtko. That Sooooo should have been a single.... haunting song from this album.... stayed with me for all these years... a little treasure, trully.
Even though I didn't get to see a whole set in brisbane, this version of the song made up for it. It was a shame that a lot of the people at the concert weren't interested in counting crows.
