Lisa, ive just found your channel .I love ,love your workouts! It’s my style working out:jump rope and weights.I love your look, at your age.Im 43 and menopausal (after a full hysterectomy,3 years ago).Im your fan!Keep going with the good work and a very big thank for your work!❤
Those were such kind words! Thank you for the feedback and I will add those things in my upcoming videos. (I will try to edit them into the description of existing ones, as well.)
Wow! Impressive. There r many people on Insta who have quite the following doing the same thing. Try expanding ur content to other platforms and watch yourself grow 😊
yep. I still use my spin bike, too. I have gotten into using two jump rope mats on top of each other for jump rope cushioning. I also do a lot of free weight exercises that build muscle and keep my heart rate up for cardio.

How do these compare to the Thererope and Anywhere rope? I’m sorry, Lisa. I had to. You seem like you’re taking good care of yourself. It’s a great example for your family. You have a great day too.
Awesome workout! I hear ya about hotel fitness centers. Either they are luxurious, have amazing equipment and huge windows with an incredible view or else they're two old, dirty treadmills (one with an "out of order" sign on it) in a tiny, dark closet. 😄
Exactly! It’s such a crap shoot! And then there’s the inconsistency with even the level of niceness of the hotel. I stayed in a hotel last month that was kind of a so-so hotel, but the gym was awesome and open 24 hours.
She's doing the "running man" while jumping!! You jump GREAT!!! I'm just starting out, but if I can get anywhere near as good as you are, I'll be ecstatic!! Any tips for beginners?
You can get really good at it. My biggest pieces of advice are to practice every day for at least a little while and to be patient. Everyone messes up a lot in the beginning.
I have to agree for a weighted rope. At the time I filmed this video, I had never tried a HereRope. Since then, I have the 1/4# with the swivel handle and the 1:4# and 1/2# with the push-through handles. I actually have a couple of review videos on those ones on my channel, now. Thank you for your comment.
Interesting. I do feel like it’s heavier than my 4mm PVC, but I’ve never weighed them on a scale. Im not sure what 10g feels like, as a difference. I have felt like my 5mm PVC is closer to the same weight, though. My PVC ropes have string in the middle of the rope, and the weighted ropes from Crossrope and HereRope have wire.
Thank you for another wonderful video! It's great that your videos on jump rope that aren't aimed at beginners but feature content that is interesting and informative for experienced jumpers. It's also refreshing to see experienced jumper who aren't trying to get views for doing fancy tricks. I agree 100% you that knots are yucky - I won't jump with knots. And I've had my husband help me with every single jump rope measuring + shortening project!
Thank you so much for that comment. Not only is it kind, but also helps me because I’ve often wondered if anyone with experience actually sees or benefits from what I post. ❤
Thank you! I started jumping because I had plantar fasciitis and my running was always making that worse. Jumping made it feel better and I could still get cardio training, I would say about a year to get to this level. Since I shot this review, I’ve added more speed and a lot more moves.
This rope is not stiff for me. I have a cross rope in the 1/4 (and 1/2-pounds) and this rope is the same as that 1/4-pound. I can’t tell a difference in the ropes. I can tell that the handles weights are different, but the ropes are the same. At least, mine are.
@@lisadavisbodyconstruction I figured you referred to CrossRopes:) There´s definitely a difference in “Get Fit” vs the green rope from CR, though I still prefer the GetFit to CR. Are your handles heavier or lighter than CR? Actually, the handles look a lot alike, and I kind of like the getFit-handles more. maybe I can order just the rope, no handles:) I´ve always wondered why CR doesn´t make their ropes adjustable. Seems pretty easy.
I have also wondered why crossropes aren’t adjustable. The hererope handle does look very similar, but it is lighter than the crossrope. I can’t tell any difference when I’m using the rope, since the ropes are so similar and the weight feels the same.
You’re welcome. And thanks for the nice comment. The fact that they’re adjustable truly is so nice! I used it again this morning and chose it over my “other”, much-more-expensive rope bc the other one has the two knots.
I’d suggest starting by just practicing a certain move for about a minute at a time and try to remember that it’s just for fun so you don’t get too frustrated and tired. Then as you get better, add another of the moves. Listen to music you love to keep your mood happy. Let me know if that helps. ❤ Happy jumping.
Hi Lisa. Thanks for the review. I checked the link and you're right, they are pretty cheap, cheaper than I thought, especially because they are weighted ropes, and as you said compared to other more expensive ropes. The other thing that I like is the idea that they are adjustable. With crossrope I ordered large for my height and they are way too long and having knots kind of bothers me a little.
I know the feeling. I have Crossropes, too, along with the knots and all! I’m looking forward to reviewing the HereRopes swivel handle weighted rope because it says it’s also adjustable. And so affordable!
I think each person is different. If someone is new, I suggest jumping for one minute then rest. Do that a few times until you can work up to longer periods. I always warm up with jump rope before my other workouts for at least 10 minutes and on cardio days, I jump for 30-60 minutes.
Pneumonia is viral. therefore there is no medication for it. Beach would be a good idea. Salt air and sunshine. Vitamin D from sunshine is very anti viral. Also pharmaceutical Vitamin C from Scotland would be very good too. Mostly you must rely on your own immune system for that one. If it was me, I would take it easy. Do you get this often ? If you do, that means you are weak in your lungs. Have to be careful on that one as the years goes by.
