This is what he said in Portuguese, and what the translator correctly translated. Pereira never talked about Jiri's takedown defense (also, it would not be relevant, as Pereira would not try to take Jiri down)
yeah i dont get it, conor has fought with a broken toe before, against mendas and that fight was on short notice when aldo pulled out. makes me think its probable something else holding him back, probably the alcohol
Pretty much said his stand up hasn’t changed but his takedowns may have improved so he’s a lil worried or aware the takedown may be his next move but as for stand up nothing has changed

@@DaSasquatch23 plus alex destroyed jiris leg in like the first minute of the fight...it was a good fight for sure, Jiri was landing some great shots but that kind of pressure only helped Alex land that left. And after watching jiri eat so many shots from Rakic...it's hard to imagine jiri getting out of the first round if he doesn't grapple/wrestle. That one shot ko is always there for the either of them tho....it's a dangerous fight still for Alex but this dude is trippin if he thought jiri was winning the first round vs jiri.. Alex clearly landed the more damaging shots, even before the ko
So where does he beat Leon . If usman could not take him down , Colby couldn’t take him down , belal is not taking him down . Striking he’s not faster than Leon , he’s not stronger than Leon . And he can not out strike Leon who is known as one of the best ufc strikers . Lastly , Leon was kick in his ass already the last time they fought . Kinda feel there saying yeah maybe September, so chandler will stick around and wait. Only tk then have another problem and have him wait till December or January. There playing him hard. This is the problem with the UFC saying Alex Pereira being the best of all time??? Really a guy can win 5 or 6 in a row and he is in line for a title, the champ can win 4 or 5 and he is the goat!! Just a theory here... You think Conor heard Islam say he would not mind fighting him after the Chandler fight. Maybe just maybe Conor in his typical bitch ass money hungry form is going to duck Chandler and wait for the opportunity to fight Islam. I mean lets be honest , a Islam Vs Conor fight would do way more PPV buys than Conor Vs Chandler. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
