My name is Rick Dior and welcome to my RU-vid channel. Several years ago, I began posting some videos for my students to supplement my teaching. I started hearing from drummers and percussionists throughout the world telling me how these videos were helping them. The channel continued to grow and when the pandemic hit, all of a sudden, I had lots of free time, so I decided to put a bit more energy into it. My channel is dedicated to serious drummers and percussionists who want to develop the best technique and musicality possible. This is an educational channel where you will be challenged to learn the art of playing percussion and drum set at the highest levels. Many years ago, as a student myself I was very fortunate to work and study with some of the greatest drummers and percussionists to walk this earth. My goal is to pass these skills onto the next generation of performers and to aid in the preservation and advancement of drumming/ percussion techniques.
Could you please give a source for purchasing the Lefina suspended Cymbal holder? I can't find it for sale anywhere.... I do not want to waste money on a cymbal holder that will bounce. I like the idea of suspending cymbals, rather then the usual stands we use for drum sets.
Das 24er Avedis hab ich sofort erkannt. Sieht genau so aus wie meins. Mit outline stamp. Dieser Stempel wurde von 1955 - 1963 benutzt. Das exakte Alter kann somit leider nicht ermittelt werden.
Hello from Dublin Rick. Really sorry to hear about your dreadful storm damage. I was wondering about your situation and the footage on CNN was truly shocking. I treasure your persimmon sticks daily on a Vic firth pad. Hoping you can get up and running, producing those wonderful again soon. Michael
Really sorry to hear this Rick. I'll see about putting an order in and you can get the shop going again or help the folks up there :). Thanks for everything.
For a while, I have been feeling like maybe I play cymbals that are too big. I mean, my smallest “crash” is a 21” Legacy ride. Now I remember why it’s awesome. Not that I can play like you though, honestly that was half of the fun of nerding out to this video-you really just know how to play those cymbals man.
on the opposite side, 16 inch rides are not that common, I have two of them, one is an old K made in Turkey, the other is an American Avedis Light ride, hollow ink logo, then next is a 17 inch Zildjian Re-Mix ride, and from 18 to 22 there are several of them , thanks for the interesting video, you are a great host and drummer
So so sorry to hear this news -grateful that your home was spared - myself, and so many others love and depend on your excellent videos and for myself, have not had the chance yet to use your sticks, - we should do a go fund me for a new shop for you if you want to continue that is - - stay strong and know you are supported
Very sorry to hear that Rick, as a carpenter drummer I loved your stick production, I'm guessing transport to Spain would be prohibitive!? Best wishes for you, your workshop and the affected communities 🙏🏽
Seems very stupid to actually tick a thumbs up for this Rick, sounds like a horrible situation for all, hope you all get through it as I'm sure you will, all the best from our little island across the pond.
Hey Rick . I'm sorry for your workshop . To be honest after I saw the name of the video and the initial pictures I'm relieved that this is your workshop and not your house. I focus on the good things. I'm so happy you and your family is safe . I'll be lost without you and eventhat your sticks are dear to you,man you are so dear to me . I'm sure you'll find a place to continue producing your sticks when times appropriate. So I'm so happy you are safe . Keep rolling I love you and send you peace and warmth.
So sorry to hear of your hardship. Wishing you the best, grateful that you and your family are ok, and thank you for your generosity in sharing your knowledge. I’m a better musician because of you!!!
Hi Rick Very sorry to hear this! Keep your chin up and there will be better days ahead. We all appreciate your instruction and drumming performances! G'day from Australia.
