This is going to be a problem when I go to sell mine which mostly sees dunes. I have put more into all the parts at this point than I paid for the car. (Things break and wear out when you drive fast). It's been will maintained and finally pretty dialed (weak links fixed). But who is going to trust my word, and all my friends have already moved on to faster cars...
Mostly because electric doesn’t have lag and is pretty competitive with the lower end of fast cars and the pror is a Offroad rig that can blitz through the desert also. Just a little surprised is all
@@desertsxsmy 5 year old model 3 performance would smoke it on the street. But that's not what the pro-r is about. I really want a new RZR but they have gotten so expensive! These SxS cars are so fun. You can have way more fun driving a SxS, even an old RzR than the model 3. Even my old xp1000 feels like a race car still. Also the new model 3 performance is 0-60 in 2.9 seconds (with rollout). Good luck beating that. Still, that car is fast as hell for an off-road vehicle, I can't imagine needing more power than you have there. Combined with that kinda suspension and the right driver..... You would be looking at a very expensive rail / car to beat the new M3P on the street though... Personally more interested in upgrading my RzR than my model 3. Keep up the great videos. I love watching them. I can really appreciate / understand how fast your pro-r is off the line!
I have bought 2 used. My first x3 was a 2017 I bought in 2018. It is still running great to this day. The only internal engine problem I had were the plastic gear's and that was several years after I bought it. The second one I got at copart it was actually not bad to fix but did have a warped head. I fixed that and it was a great car but I sold it. I wouldn't recommend buying from copart to resell only if you are going to keep for a very long time and don't mind taking half of what its worth.
Instantly know when showing up to someone’s place if they take care of their stuff. Spotless garage, epoxy floors and detailed daily it’s a going to be a winner.
Well said, Dallin. I agree with you. Buy one that has been tested to your driving abilities or close to it. Grandpa's car is for polishing in the garage.
I'm with the last guy. If you're not a mechanic or don't have the resources to do a bunch of work yourself, it's worth the extra cost to buy new. I bought my YXZ new because I know people typically drive those cars hard and I wasn't willing to invest my time and money in somebody else's problem. It's also worth noting the type of people who would buy a SXS in the first place. There's a reason SXS get such a bad rep and it's because any tool with some cash can buy one and beat the piss out of it with little or no experience, and they do. I hate the stereotype that SXS owners are douchebags but you know... stereotypes literally wouldn't exist if there wasn't any truth behind it, so there's that. Your chances of buying from an ignorant/incompetent/careless owner are pretty high when it comes to a SXS.
Don't be delusional... Dallin does an amazing job running this channel, he's a 1 man crew and does it all...from building the track for us to tear up on his dime, endless hours of video footage and editing, to countless dollars spend on toys to create content... the list goes on. However we all enjoy some tech-talk, opinions/feedback on SXS brands, reviews and even a video about new VS used. It's a great discussion. Maybe you could create your own channel and show us how to do it better....😊
Every video probably isn’t going to be everybody’s favorite but these poll videos are questions I get and people ask on facebook all the time. Just trying to help those people get some feedback.
The trade in value doesn't represent the value of the add on parts. That's a problem if you need to finance it. Plus, what crappy turbo kit got put on that pro r? I'd rather start with a clean slate. Very hard to finance a private seller.
New … all day and add your shiz . I’ve bought used 3 times on all platforms and end of day spent more money than new and do your own. For me I want to know all parts that go in and call me a control freak but my attention to detail is me the unknown drives me insane. A bit OCD 🤣😁
Kinda like you said. I’m looking for a machine thats already kinda bulit and drivin the same way I’m gonna do. I don’t care if it’s been driven hard. If it has quality parts on it, I’m almost willing to bet they had to take care of it somewhat if they’re already dumping 10k plus into the machine. At the end of the day I’m trying to save money on the parts on the car 🤷🏾♂️
@@desertsxs Just registration of water crafts in AZ, the back of the registration is when you sign it over to new owner. However, the trailers for water crafts do have titles like cars.
I have a recommendation on this; I'd love to talk to you guys about how I'm dealing with this same issue. I don't want to post my idea on line because it's a protected business idea that I'm developing right now. I live in Phoenix if you guys are able to chat for a little bit. I've been wrestling with this issue for the last 6 years.
I would only buy new - for a sxs or a car....for the simple reason that all the parts are new. There is ALWAYS a history and buying new you make that a non thing.
It's not bad ju ju, or you..... It's a CAN AM..... You can PUNISH your Pro R all day, everyday and it's fine... You can punish your can-am for 20 minutes and you vacation, (along with all the cash to get there) is totally ruined.
Just curious, since you’ve always seemed very into racing, putting down times, I haven’t seen you do any competitive racing? Any reason why not or do you plan too
I have went to some redbull races but not any official big races. The big reason I don’t do the big races is the amount of time it takes for prep and if you want to win you need to be there days in advance prepping learning the area also dumping more money into race spec. I work to much to do that right
Great video Guys and Mad Props to Dallin for somehow getting a hold of that powder and stepping it up to Number 1 once again! Drone footage 👀Love it ! In Car 👀 Love It! Yes Paul, Staying WFO is what just separated the Man From the boy..... by a couple of seconds!
I honestly don’t know all of a sudden he said he didn’t have time for RU-vid and riding and then started his own so I guess but I really don’t know. Just blindsided with the whole thing
