Self-delusion. The facts are that once it got over the embarrassment of Galileo, Christianity has had a legacy of encouraging scientific research, building on the belief that all of nature is God’s creation. Through modern science, science literate Christians have become increasingly aware of how their God crafted the universe around them. Hundreds of years of research in geology, paleontology, biology, and many other fields have produced abundant evidence that the earth is billions of years old and that fossils, geological features, and the diversity of life formed over eons of time. Additionally, there is an abundance of empirical evidence that there was never a global flood, and as a consequence no ark. The flood story is FILLED with hyperbole that would have been recognized by its ancient audience as a figurative description of an event in order to produce an effect and make a theological point, and NOT an example of ancient journalism or accurate science.
Stop occupying the West Bank, East Jerusalem and blockading Gaza and actually ENGAGE with the peace plan instead of settlement building... and peace happens. Bravo Brother for acknowledging Yehovah by his name. By and large his name is unknown to Christianity. This lack of knowledge of our father Yehovah's name has allowed many false teachings to creep into Yeshuas fold. His name is written more than 6800 times in the Scriptures yet in most churches it is not mentioned at all ever. Yeshua said explicitly he came to reveal the Father's name. John 17. How did we come to the place where we rarely or many times never utter his name?
Nice job Pastor Jailal. In the midst of the uncertainty of the future of the earth and life in the days following the flood, GOD reassures of multiple certainties listed in vv 21-22. We can count upon Him and His words that have remained true for centuries just as He said. We owe everything to Him and His benevolence to us and we can trust his word just as the faith given to to Noah. Thank you for a great message.
