Yeah it was frustrating how elves litterally jumped and ruined a perfect spear wall, but i believe they more so did it to spite the dwarves rather than have it be an actual tactic they used. Though this is prolly just cope imo
think of Alicent's arc as a man : *"a boy who was raised to always do his duty no matter how high the price; has a moment where he mistakenly believes all his sacrifice might've been worth it for the realm, then slowly realizes there's too much blood on his hands to stop." Ppl would be obsessed.* But a complex female character gets "she's so dumb" or "she's a b word". *Alicent didn’t place Aegon on the throne cause she misunderstood the prophecy; the prophecy simply gave her an acceptable justification for doing what she had to do. It was a tool of self-deception. Which was made clear when Alicent brilliantly used the "I swear on my mother" line which Rhaenyra used as a lie in s1.* Alicent’s wants were of no relevance. *Aegon would've been placed on the throne with or without her support. Her placing him there just granted her a degree of influence over him.*

We already know last season ep 9 that Otto and the rest of Green faction made plan without Alicent knowledge. That is when Alicent still have power as a queen. She might be able to do something last season before Aegon was crowned. Now, not only her power been reduced (queen regent -> queen dowager), the hand and king won't back her, aemond is itching for revenge.
Something else that y'all might notice, everyone literally everyone else when you look in their head all have the same gender except for Riley Riley has multiple genders as emotions in her head

Here, allow me to simplify this for you, when you look inside the mother's head all of the emotions are female presenting, when you look inside of the father's head you see all the emotions are what? That's right male presenting . Even the kid at the end of the movie The Emo looking like one you going to his head all of his emotions are male presenting. It is only Riley that has both female and male presenting emotions inside her head. Dang you really needed that spelled out didn't you?
@@jessicacampbell8414 now that’s not true. The boy Riley meets at the hockey rink and panics about a girl talking to him has a female Joy if you pay attention. The director of the movie even said it’s because she’s prepubescent and some emotions feel more masculine and some feel more feminine. It has nothing to do with gender identity, it had everything to do with casting the voices. Just go do some research before you start projecting
It's like Rhaenys said to Alicent. She only sought out a window in her prison cell. She's gone down a path that has placed absolute power in the hands of her son, who is unfit to wield it. Being the royal family, they lost sight of the grand responsibility that the throne bears with it, expecting that no matter the chosen successor that the kingdom would carry on peacefully as it had before. So when Alicent thought she heard Vicerys say what she, and apparently many others wanted to hear, the implication were lost on her. Leading her to supplant the kings first born child whom which he was able to raise with his lady wife into the leader he trusted to succeed him with his first born son whom he was unable to be as involved with due to his deteriorating health and later sedated state. The show is honestly great at depicting the interpersonal relationships between the characters and showing us how those relationships/interactions impact the decisions that lead to the larger events of the Dance of the Dragon's.
I'm watching this from Iraq, an excellent clip. In my opinion, this is futile and useless, because in both cases no change will occur The series also illustrates The Lady of the Seas Men want war, but if you notice the problem starts with women only😂😂
At the point she was powerless. Her sons haven’t cared for what she said for years and aegon lost a son too. And on top of it they were gonna usurp rhanerya behind Alicents back anyway but now it’s entirely to late

It turns out, it depends on the person. Some get it early others get it late. Then those that gets them right on time. No clue why though.
