Thanks for the guide, Masked Matador! I have to say that I remember the VR missions when it came out and it seemed so amazing...now...well, the game definitely shows how bad some of the game mechanics have aged over the past 20 years. Especially in the Puzzle Mode section (grenade level and level 10 involving the guard that turns super fast). Thank you so much for the guide and helping me obtain the final trophy needed for MGS1 and hope this helps others along the way😄
hello I was watching your video from FINAL FANTASY 1 to 5 thanks to you I have platinum I come from Belgium I speak French.. not in English I need help I can't get Gils Turtle but we know have it after the final? and the tooberry one I can't get it, is it very rare? thank you for your response 🙏🏻
Gil Turtle is missable if you don't kill him in Galuf's world as he does not appear in the Merged World. The Tonberry is very rare, so that one just takes some time to find.
@MaskedMatador 3 has always had a special spot in my heart. But I really enjoyed the platnum for 5. That one felt the most memorable this time around. I'm not sure if you mentioned in a video, which one did you find your favourite?
@@gav5568 They were all pretty special for their own reasons. FF1 was the first Final Fantasy I ever played, so it was great being able to play it in the updated format. FF2 surprised me with how much I enjoyed it given that it's usually considered one of the worst games in the franchise; I appreciated how they tried to be different from FF1, but I think they learned their lessons for what fans like and don't like, and that helped the rest of the games to be more successful. I had never beaten FF3 before as I would always get stuck on the last boss, so it was nice to finally beat that one. The story of FF4 has always been one of my favorites, but it is a pretty serious game. FF5 was just fun because of the humor, and it never took itself too seriously; it was such a pleasure to play that one and not have it feel like a repetitive grind. FF6 is special because it marked my beginning as a RU-vid content creator. It was a great learning experience for me, and I'll always be grateful for that.
@MaskedMatador I did really enjoy getting back to the roots of FF1, and it has been like 20 years since I've played it, so it was a pretty wild experience to go back too. FF2 whilst I know it's gotten alot of hate, but I genuinely really enjoyed it because it felt so different. I liked the specialised weapon system because of how different a take it is, it made it feel really fresh. FF4 is a pretty serious game, I had my ups and down with that one the most I think this time around. And with FF6 I did love how wide they were able to make the cast of playable characters. Having like 14 characters to choose from in an RPG from 1994 is pretty wild, I don't know any other game that's gone and done that. And they gave each of the characters their own space to grow and standout which I think is really awesome. It's also really awesome to see a creator that's still active with their OG video's! This is honestly the first series of video's I've ever left comments on and it's been a great experience. So thank you.
Your voiceover for Ultros in a southern accent is hilarious.. 😂 😂 😂 Any particular reason why you don’t use Locke in your party when Ultima has a Ribbon for the taking?
With the help of your guide, Perfect Stealth’s guide, and coming up with some of my own strategies, I finally did it. It took me like 4 days and really took over my life. I’m probably a worse person because of this mode but it’s done. So satisfying. Thanks man. Def the hardest challenge of my gaming career. Been playing this since 2001 and I never even attempted this craziness before. I honestly think Fatman was the worst part.
The randomness of the Fatman fight is what makes it so awful. I really think that's the peak of difficulty in the game, and it gets significantly easier and less random after that point. Thanks for following along, and good job completing this tough challenge!
hi quick question if anyone knows. I beat the fear but forgot to pick up the camo and saved in the next room. I went back to the previous save and beat him again and got the came and resaved over save 9. With the game remember the other save? Thanks in advance!
This is incrediblely made. I've watched a lot but haven't started off yet as I just have one question- is it not easier to get the achievement to do it with the stealth camo you get rescuing Otacon? People online are saying that the achievement still unlocks with the camo equipped and I'm just wondering before I jump into another playthough - Thanks either way for this guide it's going to help me LOADS :) x
Yes, you may use special items like the stealth camo and bandana as they do NOT count against you. The problem is that you’d have to complete the game on Hard Mode to get them, so the choice is yours whether you want to start fresh and just play through it once or play through it two or three times on Hard Mode.
Amazing guide (including your MGS1 one!). There is a safer way to beat vamp 1 (though it may take longer). Just go to the top right of the room and lay prone facing southwest. Then shoot him in the head when he crouches down to hit you. He won't attack you in that spot aside from when he slowly walks toward you.
For the Thunder Dragon. You can save, enter the cave, use a "siren" item, fight the Thunder Dragon, and load your previous save. It stays in the bestiary, and you get to keep the item.
At 9:17 seconds I always crack up when I'm watching The Final Fantasy game play and their world has all these castles and dragons and medieval and magical type stuff and then Blackhawk helicopters will just fly over in dudes parachute out with assault rifles LOL such a unique world
Incredible man, thank you so much. I followed everything out of combat and this was incredibly helpful. Final trophy I need is Leave No One Behind for my platinum, then it'll be time for my Honor Mode playthrough. Thanks for everything.
seriously man. im two hours into the video been following along on my steamdeck. one of the best guides ive used. awesome seeing all the secrets and collectables
Ok, there's no way i planned it out or anything but that exdeath fight i had flame ring equipped to a dragoon that was in the air when it used flare, holy and meteor. Absorbed 2 firagas, didnt get hit by anything else. 0 dmg taken
First time commenting, but had to say thank you. I completed the game blind and enjoyed it so much, that I wanted the platinum. I found your playlists and worked my way through them, finally getting the platinum. The way you made some scary encounters look easy was very impressive, I would not have come up with the ingenious ideas. Just preparing a character now to have a stab at honor mode, but I'm sure I can do that using your guides for reference..again thank you so much for taking the time to create this content.
Im not a fan of the new enemy names or the toning down of things. (woke 💩) But because you grew up with this game, and the series, as did I, I'll watch this in full. If you were some newbie, I wouldn't even think it lol❤
The fight at 1:00:27 is really difficult for me all my i only have two characters available during my turn and the boss keeps killing the npc with the cloud kill ability
Enjoy the Dark Urge run; it’s fun! I did a lot of things differently, and I think it made that playthrough easier overall. Thanks for following the guide!
I know you asked on another video, but my first FF was FF4. It was titled FF2 for the SNES and it was awesome! I still love that game. I hope you have a platinum run on that one. I haven't played it in a while. I did play the one for the DS and mobile which had better graphics and some augments. Have you played that version? It was pretty cool.
