Hi, nice video. Is this the Jupiter lite or the original do you know? How do you get on with it? How is the dreaded condensation that plagues a lot of bivvys ? Cheers
I can't comment on a jetboil or a Polaris but the Mars Radiant has a pressure regulator which enables how much fuel pressure is fed to the stove, simmering is fine on mine, hope this helps 👍😎
Nice set-up. I've been looking at one of these for Winter camping. Boil it once. Fill your hot water bottle, and slip it into the sleeping bag. Boil it for a second time, and fill a thermos flask. Boil it for a third time, and leave it in there to cool overnight for next days drinking water. In the morning you have fresh drinking water, and hot water for coffee and a wash and then you can break camp without the need for a fire.
Hi Bex, I have used this on several occasions and i have found it to be Adequate the insulation is pretty good on it's own, are you thinkking of getting one ? Thanks for your comments mate 👍😎
@@lavvuwildcamper Yeh thinking of getting one. I have the Highlander 5 season roll up, but their rating of 5 season is way off the mark. I have the Theremarest Xtherm max air pad for my lightweight winter tent camping kit, but need something non inflatable for a UK Winter bivvy bag camp, only if I think I can get away with it. I don't mind marrying up the Highlander foam roll mat with the BCB and a reflector, carrying bulk doesn't bother me, because my base weight is pretty light, even using heavier surplus kit in winter...Appreciate any Intel you can give...Atb buddy Bex
I think the Jobsworth cookers have been withdrawn .. there's a note on the P. X website asking for any bought since january 2021 to be returned for a full refund.
@@johncamps1337 Yes it is a good bit of kit works well in windy conditions and sturdy on the Ground, Good Price for what you get, Thanks for commenting 👍😎
Got pretty much the same set up and just been checking the big tall thin campingaz fits the stone and the lamp as the propane butane mix is like 6 or 7 pound unless on sale but for the tall slim gas for a blowtorch its only £4 from tool station but there is a video I seen with the adapter to refill them canisters from a calor gas bottle so I am going to try and order the fitting for cheap refills as I use 2 or 3 every time I go away for a few days. Not so much in the summer but definitely that much gas in the winter with dark nights and windy wet days cooking. Hope you enjoy. The stand is not really needed on flat hard ground but on grass or muddy floor it foes work wonders and is stable enough once you put the pan on top.
It's a 1980s German sniper sleep system that's why it's not waterproofed on chest cause you would be face down the arms for firing the hood has holes for ears for headset coms as an ex sniper I used this as it was the rolls Royce in the day and I still have mine and use it today good video mate your right your lucky if you can get your hands on one 👍
Mine arrived today , go outdoors only had the cheap gas canisters that didn't work . I bought a green summit canister from the range and it works perfectly. Its a great stove and will be alot quicker than using my trangia obviously.
Great video thanks. Just bought the Dutch Army tent after so many mixed reviews. Like to follow your content so just subscribed. First ever trip out this Friday so can't wait to get started 😊 Look forward to seeing you next videos 👍 all the best
The Dutch Army Tent is very good for the price easy to pitch and enough room for 1 person + Kit, it is a tad heavy but well worth it 👍 Thanks for the Sub and comments, I hope you enjoy using yours ATB.. 👍😎
Thank you for the shoutout! Love these videos. The food looked lovely, and so cosy sitting by the fire in the snow. This is the type of stuff I would like to do this year.
Great video, the lavvu looks amazing. been seeing your photos on Instagram. Found your link on there too. Newly subscribed to your channel and I'll look forward to watching more of your adventures. ATB Dan.👍👍👍👍
It you are using a Trangia burner and maths, add about 10 water to the meths and you will see a real reduction in soot on the bottom of your pan. When burning wood, you may just have to accept that there is going to be some soot or more soot, depending on the quality of the wood and how dry it is. Soot does clean off, though.
Denatured alcohol, yellow bottle heet, and liquid parell hand sanitizer does not make any soot if you are referring to an alcohol burner. With a wood gas stove. You can add this liquid fuel to the wood, or use all dry wood and don't fill up wood passed the secondary burn holes. Hopefully that helps. :)
