Seeing you pointing into the camera in the end it made me think of The Warning performing their song *Dull Knives* in a live stream to support music venues in the US during Covid shutdowns. It's the video that made *Lzzy Hale* a huge fan of The Warning and she invited them to tour with her band *Halestorm* across the US. The video is named *Dull Knives from The Warning Cave for De(Tour)* and when you watch that you will understand the pointing remark. I'm a 65 YO Swede who discovered these sisters in 2013 and flew over to LA to watch them perform at the famous venue *The Whisky* in 2020 where they have a standing invitation to perform at.
Band-Maid are at the top of their game. They're Musicians - Musicians but Hard Rocking & Catchy enough to not be impenetrable. Tha MV "From Now On" is a great example of this. If You Know- - You Know! Band-Maid 🤟

Thank you for this reaction. Both The Warning and Band-Maid are very very good bands who are fans of each other. The Warning is a power trio composed of sisters Dany, Pau, and Ale from Mexico. Both bands were formed in 2013. The Warning are a Rock band with a very special sound that combines many genres of music. They just released their 4th album. They have completed their second European tour that included Wacken Open Air and Pol And Rock. They performed on ShipRocked and the MTV VMA's Extended Stage. They have toured North and South America and are going on another North American (US and Canada) tour in September and October. They are signed to Lava Records and are MTV Push artis. They have already sold out 2 shows in February 2025 at the 10K seat Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. The Warning went viral when they covered Metallica’s Enter Sandman in their basement when they were 9, 12 and 14 years old. Honing their skills covering AC/DC, Guns and Roses, Muse, Ozzy Osbourne, and Foo Fighters. They later opened for Def Lepard, Gun and Roses, Muse, Foo Fighters, Halestorm and Three Days Grace. They impressed their peers Matt Bellamy of Muse and Lizzy Hale of Halestorm who had specially made guitars gifted to The Warning’s lead guitar and singer Dany. Heavy metal band Three Days Grace invited Dany to sing lead for their song Painkiller. The Warning is included in Metallica’s 30th anniversary Blacklist album where they followed instructions to rework Enter Sandman. Keep the lyrics, but turn it inside out, upside down and make it their own. The youngest sister bassist Ale, recognized by Spector Bass Guitars who built and designed guitars to her specifications, affectionately called the ‘Thunder Goddess’ by fans. It’s her ‘dirty’ bass you hear in the song. She’s become close friends to Band-Maid’s ‘barefoot assassin’ Misa. Middle sister Pau (POW) is DRUMEO’s Best Rock Drummer of 2023. Often a secondary lead singer who can sing with intensity while drumming like a beast. It's hard to go wrong with anything live from the Warning but "Evolve" from the 2023 MTV VMAs is a great starting point. And since you mentioned Metallica and are wearing the shirt you should check out the Warning's reworking of "Enter Sandman", both the live version from Teatro Metropolitan, and the OMV with Alessia Cara. They created it for the Blacklist album and it is way more than a cover.

The "dirty" bass sound is Alejandra Villareal from the Warning. She's 20 yo. All the members of TW are about 10 year younger than the BM ones. So, you might want to listen to this exceptionnel band on the path of conquering the world. Anything from the show - live then! - from the Theatro Metropolitan CDMX is great. But TW is probably one of the most stable / exiting band you will see : they rarely miss a beat / a note. True professional at a very young age. Since they are three sisters, they have been playing together ... for ever! It will show in their natural blend in music / instrumentation and voices. BTW, in term of gear... Band-Maid won't show them much. They are all endorsed by major companies (Daniella --> PRS, Paulina --> DW Drums, etc.). They all have their signature models, etc., etc.

The Warning are a rock band from Mexico, good friends with BAND-MAID. They are exploding all over the world now. Played Wacken Open air this summer and Poland Rock in front of a 100.000+ audience, They sold out a huge coming venue in 2025 in only a couple of hours. They have opened for many major rock bands including The Foo fighters, and Hale storm. Stryper, G&R and a ton of other bands. Lzzy Hale gifted a Gibson Explorer to Dany (guitar player in The Warning and Matt Belamy gave her a one of a kind mustard yellow Martin guitar). If you hear something rumbling far away, it´s the Warning coming to take over the rock scene! You will be warned you too. This song shows some of the bands abilities both far from their best performances, according to me, both bands can do much better. But this is what you get when you mix japanese metal with The Warning rock/metal
100% agree with you! This is like a watered down version of both bands. But considering they are quite different bands - it would've been pretty chaotic. I just think this sung did a disservice to TW because many new listeners might think they're just a less talented bandmaid instead of a modern hard rock band
The guitar from Matt Bellamy is a Manson. Matt Bellamy uses several Mansons and has the majority share of the Manson Guitar Works which he purchased in 2019.
The Warning are a classic/hard rock band from Mexico. The two bands met at a festival in the US in 2022 and became great friends. Many fans called for some sort of collaboration and that's what they did. The song was composed by Band-Maid to accommodate both bands styles and is on their new album, to be released in September. Personally I feel that most collaborations tend not to show the best of either band, but this is pretty good and has generally pleased both fan bases. Thanks UK).

"Better live, I imagine". Yup, but even then.. You often hear these comments abt how Nightwish isn't just Floor and how it's 95% Tuomas. Well, this is 100% Tuomas (Floor "wasn't there" i.e. just singing the notes, once again left with the unenviable task to match Tuomas' lyrics to the rhythm, passion gone). The mix just how the "Metal Mozart" likes it; drums & guitars same; message cerebral with tons of "clever" references for the literati. People who struggle to get into this H:N leftover stuff are h8ers who just don't get his brilliance 😉
This is the second single of the new upcoming album Yesterwynde, which will be released 20th of september. Tuomas announced that this single will have a typical 80ies vibe which it definitely has. I hear influences clearly by Pink Floyds The Wall and Queens Night at the opera. In the chorus right after the instrumental part - which is a great remark on typical Nightwish power - and Choir I hear Agneta from ABBA in Floors voice. Story has elements of George Orwells 1984 and the video also is directing this way. Over all you need to hear it several times - like mostly in Nightwish songs - to get the full enjoyment with it. After 5 times watching I was addicted! Greetings from Germany!
The mix is right ...just like Tuomas wants. We just have to take how it is. Lead vocal is not always the LEAD part of the songs and that is so good cause they are so versatile. The story Tuomas wants to say here is like this including the mix.

Hello! I took no offence! My “riff of the week” thing is just jamming as I warm up for recording my original music. I’ll record on my phone the odd riff for this with no real care other than I’m enjoying myself. All for the joy of playing. At least I can spell “ouch”! 😂
