Tbh too many people give this game hate. The concept of controlling background music and it affecting the stage and your character is so unique and interesting, I wish more fighting games had that mechanic

This was actually an amazing game besides the lack of def jam fighters and music, Fight for NY was the greatest of all time but the ability to change songs and use the music throughout the environment as you fight was hella tough🔥🔥
I love this game I cannot wait for Def Jam World War video game come out the whole gameplay of this game playing with rappers all day long amazing got to collect all of the Def Jam fighting games.

Last time I remembered fight for ny didn't have music playing during the fights like I should have don't get me wrong its a great game but why hate and it has great rappers to fight with so if you hate it why are you watching the gameplay don't buy it if its trash
I thought the fighting style, physics, gameplay and all around control scheme for this game was the greatest of it's type of all time..I wish they would make more games like it.
Guess I'm the only one who likes the game as a whole.. Not as bad as everybody makes it out to be it has a good story mode and the fighting is actually pretty good. For a PS3 game it is beautiful and still holds up to today's game. Half the people that call this game garbage have never even played it....
I feel like the way they innovated this game made it different from its predecessors . all 3 games have their place in history but personally ICON is my favorite . it allows you be more in control of what the game is really based upon: the music .
in order to knock out your opponent, you have blast music at them. that ruined the series. you say you like the game but i don't care if you like this game or not. as long as your having fun.
I liked this game, it was too sluggish with the fight moves tho, they tried to make it to realistic I liked how they got updated rappers for the time period. But this game could've been better. But it was some fly stuff in here that made up for it. I wish the online stuff was still available, I couldn't unlock Fat Joe without cheat codes. I never got all the chains either. some stuff had to be unlocked online
I like the ideas this game had, like really loved the whole music blowing up the back around and what not, but the fighting didnt have the flow like it used to have back then in the other games, real shame really, I did really like the music just destroying the whole stage.
