I had a crossrider pro with the anodised red. I loved that bike so much. Before that, I had a crossrider with suspension that was super heavy. I forgot what that thing was called, but I hated it. Gave me leg strength though.
@@re-rides that’s awesome. I wish I still had my Pro. I’m thinking of buying a Chimera electric BMX for a bit of modern retro fun. Maybe you could get one of those to review on your channel.
I was born 80.. around 87 i found out my uncle owned a bike shop… guess who had all the dynos vfrs performers mcs spyders redlines etc… i seem a kid the other day riding a gt on 3 blade mags and that made me look around for one… u nerds have a 450$ bike selling for over 1000 today lol fukin nerds
It's funny now how similar the Pro and Mach one were (and had the same frame), and how similar all three Performer series bikes were, yet prices for each model in the series varied quite a bit, and back in the day we made a big deal about each of them, and everyone wanted the top model. Also, oddly, the Performer was cheaper than the Mach One. Wish you could compare the 1984 and 1985 models. When the Mach One came out in 1984, it wasn't equipped nearly as well as it was for 1985 (though was stilll a great bike, as I had one). I think the Interceptor for 86 kind of took the place of the 1984 Mach One.
Hola brother saludos . Ahora es que ustedes notan eso?? En Venezuela e visto toda clase de marcos pirata y todas las marcas hace muchos años, de marcos vitages como gt, dino, Haro, moongose, ya eso es viejo
Everything changed towards the end of the 80s. Mountain bikes were easier to ride and girls, cars and video games were what was important as our generation grew up.
@@re-rides My bicycle collection became more extravagant, population is currently 18 bikes. There were three vehicles. A Ford 427, a Chevy 427 and an Olds 425. Drama was discontinued cause I am an engineer.
thanks for the video. Do you find that the rack is wobbly while driving? I feel mine is. It is very sturdy connecting to the hitch ball, so the wobble must come from the pads on which the bike wheels rest.
Hey no worries. I have had a the other type of tow bar rack that slides into the hitch. Also a Thule. It used to sway quite a lot, especially with 3 bikes on it. I haven’t driven this one with more than one bike but I feel it is more sturdy than what I’ve had before.
@@re-rides citric is definitely needed, I meant use aluminum instead of the scouring pad on the sponge. But you still got great results thanks for the video
Love my 80 Redline. 15 years ago I was offered $1000 for it. I turned it down. last year I was offered 5k and also turned it down. . Mine is one of the first chrome, all OG, even the brute stem. Ukai rims, etc.
Awesome. I have an original condition chrome 1980 MKII. Not mine from new, one of the Australian made versions. Bought it around 10 years ago. Tiny frame for me though.
Yep. The early Hoop D was essentially a Sniper. I think the difference was the Hoop D had a kick stand bracket at the chain stay and bottom bracket area.
