Greetings. Your tutorial is professional educational. I have a 2014 Dodge Journey with a Pentastar 3.6L VVT engine. I have replaced all 4 cams Shafts in addition to all rockers and lifters. After reassembly, the engine ran fine for a few seconds, then ran very badly with multiple misfire (P0300). Then I heard like one of the timing chain slipped and shut down the Engine. My question is it possible to remove my timing chain cover, and replace the timing chains and guides without removing the engine from the vehicle? Thanks

Dear Warren, thank you for the video! For me it is very valuable, because right now my car is in local workshop and the guys just sent me pictures about my camshaft (VW golf 5 1.6 8V BSE) . The camsaft you showed, with that damage geometry has very nice guiding surface, which pushes nondirectly the hydraulic tapets. Can ask for your support if possible? There is some little marks all along the guiding surface, not so critical, but visually could be easy to see. Do you think, that i should throw away that camshaft? Furthermore the inside of my cylinder head is not goldish brown as in your cylinder head, but has also dark brown-black oil resiude? on the surfaces but not on the moving parts, they are shiny-dark- brown.
