brought tears to my eyes literally. such a nice human being. country & citizens suffered so much during war still have such a big heart. wow..simply wow. made my day. god bless the barber!
Sometimes we forget who we are after all what we've been through, it gives hope how the others can still see hope of my people, so nice to share your feelings🙏🏻❤️
@@esmee427 a free service for a foreign who will come only one time and to make unforgettable experience for the foreign and to leave a good idea about your people and country is priceless not to much people will understand this brooo
I can't believe the level of politeness curiosity love & respect that seems to emanate from their souls its truly humbling to see & only makes me want to move to the middle east that much more! Much love to all my brothers & sisters!
When ever you travel to any country they only want to take more and more money from you except in Iraq from poorest to the richest they are all generous and want to invite you and give you anything they have for free , me as Iraqi I feel very proud to be from this great people and from this great country ❤️Iraq❤️
If I learned anything from your journey is that people in Iraq are the friendliest and most generous of all the people you met, along with the Pakistanis. On the other hand, Egyptians left a bad representation of their country, a lot of scammers and greedy subjects carless of everything but money.
Mass tourism makes some locals greedy Egypt is a big country with a a large population so if you go to non tourist areas people are welcoming and generous
Unbelievably touching to see how gracious people can be after how they have been portrayed so poorly to visitors to their country by governments only interested in politics & greed.
Thanking you for another Brilliant video! Its amazing how kind and generous people from these countries who dont have much are l, they seem so happy and smiling and they all put such a smile on my face even though half the time I dont understand what they are saying you can just feel there love. Thanks Luke Take care and stay safe xXx
Iraqis are kings of generosity. They're not just this way with you because you're a tourist; generosity is embedded in their culture. If someone compliments a piece of jewlery, a rug, a hat, anything - Iraqis offer it to the admirerer wholeheartedly. I've never seen such beautiful generosity exemplified by people.
It’s amazing, I’m without fail they always offer free, and deny payment to the utmost and I just don’t understand that level of kindness. Is it a religious reason or just because they want to be hospitable to guests in their country? I just wonder where the selflessness comes from because it’s extremely admirable.
@@haediralmosawi7151 the world needs more of this type of kindness. Culturally, people in western worlds have much more and cling to it as if someone will take it away if they’re not careful. Not everyone, you can find kindness everywhere but it isn’t as instinctual as I’ve seen in travel videos of the Middle East. We’re all brothers, this is the truth.
It's not religious because he's not in need. It's cultural, you have to be as hospitable as you possibly can to your guests, and as a tourist he is like a guest (of course guests get better treatment when in somebody's house but you get the idea).
With the Arabs, the guest is treated special because he came from a far place and became their guest. Be sure that if Luke asked for money from this barber, he would have given it
13:20 I'm sorry for that bad word, I saw that guy's face, he looks a bit mean and wants to take advantage of you, I really apologize for that stupid word, the guy on the side he's so much nicer
Thank you guys for doing this - I've now got the travel bug and want to get over there - these people are the most kind hearted souls you could imagine! What an amazing country and again thanks for sharing this with the world

Brother Luke i have a great idea for you, since you got to meet alot of good hearted people who gives free services for you what about carrying a bunch of love and thanks symbols souvenirs from your country Australia...it could be keychain, some kind of sweets, medals or whatever you think its cute. This way you have something to give in return .👍🏼😁
I'm not surprised at all.. and proud of the Basrawi barber. This is the Iraqi generosity as we know it. We're glad that someone like Luke and his friend are bringing it out to the world. Luke, please post the shop's location so we can support their business. You should visit Anbar province, were they don't have hotels because people will never let anyone stay in a hotel and open their homes to visitors no matter where they're coming from.
This is Islam who teach us to respect our guest and don't take money from them, you will get this hospitality in most of muslim countries. Love for Iraqi brothers from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Except Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, UAE. Travel to any country that is a popular destination for tourism, regardless of religion, and you will be scammed and overcharged. But when you travel to a country with little tourism, then you will be honored and treated with kindness, because the natives are surprised and enjoy interacting with someone different.
Luke you are young. Learn to take a gift as graciously as you give to others. The barber wanted the good feeling when he gives. Don’t fight it young man. Let him and others have a chance to feel like you do when you give generous tips. 😀
Welcome to any part of the land of Iraq. you are a good person. All love and appreciation. Basra is my city. I haven't seen him for a long time. thank you. I saw it on your beautiful tour. Have a nice trip. Greetings to you❤️
How many Australians and Americans barbers will do The shave for Free I guess none ,they mean business but guess what these people are still considered agressive uncivilised god knows what else ,irony this is
Ive been. I know how the people are . So kind and sweet. They are so welcoming and if you're a foreigner, you don't have to spend much money at all. Great food. Any services, great quality. A lot to see and do. But the people are the best. Probably in the world. Peaceful.
I love your films Luke. Learning with you traditions of the Middle East. You are always positive and smiling... Bravooooo and congratulations for what you do!!! One remark : you eat too much cheese... bad for cholesterol. Hhhhhh
I have seen lot of videos of Pakistani people doing lot of stuff for free and gifting lot of things to tourists, then Turkish ppl and now Iqari ppl such a big and nice heart ❤️
