Grab a Rock. Or boulder. Throw it against another rock or boulder. Get a Sharp edge. Sharpen a Straight Stick. Sharpen your rock. Harden your stick with fire or split it up with 4 - points. Then you have either a durable Spear and Knife. Or a More Effective spear with a Knife,
the frogs leg still moving even though detached is a nerve reflex, which means the nerves havent sent enough signals to the brain for the leg to stop twitching. its actually not controlled by the frog
You and KG are definitely some of my favorite hunts to watch! It would be awesome to see a collab. I'm looking to go hunting soon for some squirrel, so watching both your vids helps a lot.
I think it could’ve been easier if you tried using the crossbow, but the thing is it takes a higher risk of hurting yourself than what you’re actually trying to hurt or kill
We used to use a *loooooong* home made fishing pole, a spinning reel, and a small hook with a piece of yarn tied/superglued to it. You can use anything, but this is cheap and easier than catching insects/worms that constantly need to be replaced. If you dangle it in front of a frog they'll eat it. They'll even come out of the cover they're in if you can get it close to them so they see it. We had way more success that when we used a spear-plus it would make a great video. Btw, works with turtles too. God bless.
I don’t understand frogs anymore. He had an entire arrow inside him yet he was still able to try to jump away. I can’t believe this. This is ridiculous.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😡
just came across your channel and it’s been amazing dude.. love the content and all i have to say is learn how to cook man that should be the next challenge 😂😂😂
Great video ! Haven’t been frog hunting in many years, but used to go a lot in northern Cal. Only used a spear, hunting the slews by rice fields, the frogs were huge, legs were the size of chicken drumsticks (not exaggerating either ! some of the frogs were 14” - 16” long). If you want to keep ‘em from kicking grease out of the pan, freeze and thaw first. Looking forward to turtles !
Hey Blake (Blocketh outdoors) I love all of ur videos on RU-vid and I am your biggest fan ever and I wish I could meet u in person and also my name is Tyler Galvan and im ur biggest fan ever !!
The best thing to use on frog legs, fish, shrimp, alligator tail, turtle is Shore Lunch Original breading and deep fry in peanut oil. Nothing else even comes close for most things similar. On catfish a cornmeal breading either by Shore Lunch or Andy's Yellow Fish breading works better. Catfish are slimy and soft....you need something cornmeal based or it doesn't turn out right.
