Ramly Burger is the Brand of the Beef, Chicken, Rabbit, Lamb, Ostrich Patty etc... The Burger vendors then present their take on the patty their own sunny side egg, egg wrap, tomato sauce, chilli sauce, mayo, black pepper sauce, spices, pepper, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, onions, cheese, even potato crisps.... All on a bun... Meanwhile there are other patty brands which are just as good... I have also had charcoal grilled burger... We also have home made burger patties... The Burger Patties need to taste strong enough to stand up to all that toppings... Yes we do have a burger culture...
The first guy you asked is not a Malaysian.. he is either a Cambodian or Burmese.. that is why he doesn't know about the burger culture in Malaysia. I think the man who is making the burger is not a Malaysian too. But that stall is quite popular. You are lucky to find the stall. Usually Ramlee burger stalls can be found in the streets all over Malaysia after 6pm. The taste is also varied.
I’ve tried their burger, they are the best I’ve tried in my 30+ years of ramly burger experience within PJ, Shah Alam and kl. their brown sauce is the magic
Hi Shev & Dev! Azam here! So glad that i met both of u today at the Roti Canai Special in Selangor Mansion! There are too many great and delicious food spots for you to hunt in KL. But one thing for sure, if u are looking for the best teh tarik in town, look no other than the place that u had them earlier today. Good luck to both of you! Have a safe journey during your stay in Malaysia and should you need any help, u can always look for me at the same spot where we met today! Adieu!
Omg that’s so my kind of burger!!! 😮🤩🤤😋 It’s really hard to find a burger ramly stall that dips the patty into the black pepper sauce!! I love stall like this that put just the perfect amount of mayo & chilli sauce! He really put the efforts in making the burger perfectly & it really looks so appetising! Kudos to Ronie for the great job & his kindness too! Mad respect 🫡 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You Guys certainly did some analysis and research on Ramly Burger.....It was a humble family business and today Ramly Burger is an Iconic Burger in Malaysia ....D BEST....ha..ha...ha🤩🤩🤩
Actually Malaysian eat burger at night. You can refer videos foreigners eat Ramly Burger . You can find the Ramly Burger stall all over Malaysia. In KL you can get it especially near 7 eleven.
Actually you can find many Ramly Burger stalls on the streets during the night. Yup, it is a messy and sloppy burger but it's one of the best burgers in the world. On the other hand, the paper wrap is for you to wrap around the burger in order to not dirty your hands.
Being a Malaysian who lives in Canada, I would recommend you try something called "Roti John". It's Malaysian's twist of American hamburger. Its actually an omelette sandwich.
I haven't tried that burger but I will the next time I am there, looks delicious. If you are looking for a historic culinary experience in KL a suggestion would be the original Coliseum cafe . I had a meal there on my first visit in 1981. I went back before Covid and it was still going strong after more than ninety years , its like stepping back in time .
Im afraid Coliseum Cafe at its original site is now closed. They have however two other branches outside of central KL. Food still pretty good, like the old days.
I love watching your videos, You both are such a lovely couple. You both are made for each other.I wish you both safe and have a happy time wherever you are. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤❤
The beauty of Ramly burger are every street stall have they own style of cooking and recipes, some are more prone to the sweet side, some to more spicy but the egg always balancing it out,my favourite? Burger kahwin(wed) special which is a mix of beef and chicken patties wrapped by the egg in one burger, you can taste the chewy taste of beef and the soft chicken meat at the same time, there's a hidden gem of ramly stall outside there because some may have rare patties such as rabbit and venison, lamb are a bit common but not all stall have them so heads up because you may found it one day
Durian is not for everyone . Some hate it some will love it . There are many types of durian and each type of durian taste different. As for the Ramly burger .. the normal one usually is just the patty with chili and mayo sauce . The others are customized to make it different . Special is egg , special cheese is egg with cheese . Some stalls add fried onions , some had special sauces .. that is what makes Ramly burger special .. every Malaysian have their favorite Ramly burger stall in their heart.
Have you been to jalan tunku abdul rahman (jalan TAR)? Because on saturday they will have weekly night market where you can find almost any food in msia. They also sells clothes n whatnot. Its where locals go to every week. Jalan alor n jalan petaling are usually for tourist only.
I think one of d best durian ice cream is d nestle musang king ice cream n popsicle, they r available in d local supermarket, but it's quite expensive, I've only tried d durian popsicle, around RM5, n it's creamy n delicious.
@@ShevandDev Thanks for d video. Not many tourists like durian. There r plenty more of street food in Malaysia u guys can try esp from d pasar malam, d night open markets. 😁
Hi,I like your videos they are not only enjoyable but also informative....I suggest you to visit pavilion, one of the biggest and iconic shopping mall in Malaysia...
Nice videos but just a feedback, it would be good to put the exact address of the places you’ve visited either in the video itself or in the description, so that potential travellers can easily find the places you’ve been to 😊
The stall you're eating Ramly burger is not Malay Malaysian😅. They are from Bangladesh, probably owned by other people. I always watch in RU-vid, many tourists went and eat there. The Jalan Alor area is full with foreign worker manning the stall for their boses. You should go and try Ramly burger at other places😂
@Shev and Dev They use the same Ramly patty but different stall use different style of cooking, preparation, ingredient, etc. Usually 70% are the same. Ohya you can buy cheap Wall's & Nestle brand durian ice-cream at 7-eleven, Giant/AEON Big/ Jusco/ Lotus supermarket, etc 👌🏻😎
May you enjoy life in Malaysia happily for as long as you are in this country 👋🏻☕ *For those who don't know yet* : Ramly Food Processing Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Perusahaan Burger Ramly Mokni Sdn Bhd) is a Malaysian frozen and fast food company. The company was founded by Dato’ Dr. Haji Ramly Mokni and Datin Hajjah Shala Siah Abdul Manap in 1984, with the aim of developing a clean and good-quality halal Western fast-food chain in Malaysia. Ramly started a business selling burgers with his wife from street food stalls in 1979. While working as a butcher in a market, he discovered that it is unknown whether most fresh-meat sources were halal or not, leading to Ramly's decision to produce a halal-certified meat source, hygienic and quality products for all Muslim and non Muslim consumers in Malaysia. 👍🏻 They also have a chain of fast food restaurants but not as many as McDonalds restaurants.
This will probably blow your mind but a lot of people you often see on the streets; the stall/restaurant staff, the customer service, the manual labor are immigrant workers from Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan etc. Even in places that supposedly malay-centric like Kampung Baru have indonesian either reside or just working there. Dont be surprised when they turn blank when asked about something that supposedly a local should/would know.
Make a trip to Taman Connaught night market, only available every Wednesday. You can find all kind of food there. Gentle reminder to budget yourself, if not you will want to buy everything 😝
The look on your faces when you tasted durian ice cream was priceless! If it didn't smell so bad you wanted to be sick, then you haven't had the full experience. When I tasted durian in Singapore, I was almost sick from the smell before it reached my mouth! Like the smelliest tennis shoes mixed with garlic and onions and it was left in the sun for months.🤢😂
omggggg thatttts a disgrace to our durian 😹😹😹😹 durian has a unique taste that u have to really take time to appreciate. as a Malaysian living abroad, eating durian once in a while makes me cry every single time. i miss it 🥹
different stall comes with a bit different taste. cause ramly burger just the patty. however the tasty depends the creativity of the cooker. my point, u guys have to taste many stall of ramly burger. u guys gonna like it. believe me
During the time u guys are here, u will find our RAMLY burger stall here n there. U only find them in the evening usually after 5pm. Each shop have their own way of doing their burger. I recon u guys try few shops. 🙂
@@ShevandDev haha .. good to hear. As u guys alredi tried N.Lemak, Try some Banana Leave Rice at Indian Restaurant. U can go to MAYA at bangsar. Also famous Mee Goreng, Roti Canai n Teh Tarik(Pull Tea), Clay Pot Chicken Rice and Curry Mee
Hello guys. Please try roti canai at mamak restaurant and order some drinks like teh tarik( pull tea) or Milo ais. Asam laksa ( rice noodle in fish soup), nonya laksa (egg or thin rice noodle in curry soup), nasi kerabu (blue rice mix with herbs n fish). Please go to Kampung Baru where you can find Malay food, some Kuih ( traditional dessert or savory like karipap(fry), otak-otak ( red fish cake- grill), pulut udang( spicy shrimp n coconut coated by sticky rice wrap with banana leaf- grill), kuih seri muka ( sticky rice with panda hard custard - steam), kuih lapis ( layer of rose and plain hard custard- steam) , apam (steam rice flour) and rojak buah ( fruit n veg salad mix with shrimp paste with ground peanut little bit of chili- they normally used guava, pineapple, unripe mango, turnip n cucumber).
You are wrong, durian like wine is acquired taste. And it's really really good, that's why it is so expensive as many countries are demanding durian exports from Malaysia.
the seller is really know what he do.. looks at the way he grill the bun and the patty.. some burger stall will squeesh the bun and patty and end it up dry and flat..
Hiya Shev and Dev, the first gentleman you asked. That was so funny. I think with Durian if you overcome the smell. You might be surprised. So they say. 😁Good, you tried the ice cream. Maybe not again. Lol. Worcestershire sauce. Classic. That burger looks tasty. I am going to have to try that myself. Ronnie was not a paid actor. You are so cute, Shev. 🥰 Oh, I like it. A lot. 😋 Good vibes. Have a wonderful day.
not all ramly burger stall cut their meat in half bro ... every stall have diffrent style of cooking . . most malaysian like their bugger messy with alot of sauce . im diffrent i dont like it so messy .
You may try tropical fruits like mangoes (local variety ones like cho'kanan, sala or harumanis, not imported ones), mangosteen, watermelon and guava while you are here, thank you for visiting Malaysia ^^ PS: not a fan of durian after I was hit with abdominal cramps for eating 5 whole fruit
Good program . . . liked the comedic stall workers not knowing Ramli; I have to admit, I would have worked that conversation for the Eye Roll, then edited for that . . . 😺😺😺
There is so many foreign workers in Malaysia even the guy who made the burgers himself is Bangladeshi. Don't doubt it is hard for tourists to recognise our local and foreign bcs of our diverse culture.
I usually just order 2: One Beef (wrapped in egg) & One Chicken (Wrapped in egg). Sometimes without the eggs. Not sure why but it tastes so much better than the Burgers from Fast Food Restaurants
Some burger own their famous name based on the area and their skill as a signature if they are open their stall close to graveyard it was called "burger kubur" or haunted burger other than that you will find many name such burger sampah(sloppy burger), burger ganja( not actual weeds) etc
Go try musang king durian, do not smell while eating it, im preying they still have some when I come visit Malaysia in November, coming from Canada. Great video like always, keep up the amazing work.
Every Ramly burger stall has a different take on how they prepare it but they all share some similarities like the patties buns and most of the ingredients. You are trying in KL centre which is more touristy, you should have gone to suburbs and try different stalls. I live in PJ and there are too many here I can't decide which is my favourite. oh and they are only opened at night.
i think that guy is not local. He is foreign worker (most probably from Myanmar )… invite you to visit out state Sarawak. Surely difference experience for both of you..
The first you talk is they are foreigner like Mymmar worker, most of them not eat ramly burger. Ramley burger is everywher normally near the residential area.Different stall have their own ways to prepare Ramly Burger.I always prefer Ramley Burger with fresh pineapple slice.
you need to try the musang king durian.. not the processed durian fillings.. it can go sour due to the chemical reactions. durians will go bad soon after u open it.. not more than a day.. even refrigerated the taste definitely will be different.. to get the true experience.. just head to musang king durian stall in KL.. well you might still hate it, idk but just so u know.. u need to taste the true fruit... to get the true experience.. please vlog about it if u do...
