People making fun of the guy for talking a lot, but he was hella informative for people who dont understand taco food culture in LA, and made us all crave the tacos there too.
Crazy to think that there some people really paying $20+ for like 3”FaNCy” tacos, they really have no idea that the best spots are always those late night $1-2 taco stands
The guy in glasses is spittin straight facts. If you’re a white or black or Asian person and have no clue what to order or how / why taco ingredients are there .... listen to what that guy just said lol... he pretty much just laid out everything there is to know about a taco spot. Most wont bother to take the time and tell you. So that dude is looking out.
I’m from Boston and when I visited LA a year ago I discovered these street taquerias. I was at a hotel downtown that had basically nothing but overpriced, mediocre food around it so I decided to try this small family owned taco food truck across the street (I think the family was from Veracruz). I ate and chatted with construction workers who ate at the truck everyday during their breaks. the food was so good and so cheap. tacos like those are just as great as the people who make them! There is something special about cultures in which food plays such a vital role in community, and Mexican culture is a prime example.
Both of them are white and Latino. Notice the last name of the host. That's what they call white-hispanic. But the critics was uttering names with accent.
And now that they've found it, they'll swarm it so no one else gets to eat there, since non-hipsters usually have something to do and can't wait for 45 minutes.
I feel that by the time the video was done, Javier's tacos might have been used up by his body for his talking..😂🤣.. Loved his energy and depth on the topic. IMHO Joe never exhibited anything on similar lines. He will one-day though.
As an LA guy, I can tell you that Ave 26 tacos is legit. Cheap, Authentic, and tasty. You cant find better tacos in the area. I even shot a video there last year 😀
As a native LA I can honestly tell you it's a good deal don't get me wrong but they don't taste good for some reason I always get diarrhea when I eat there very cheap tacos but not my cup of tea I know better places with same price and are way better than this overrated place
Great video guys thanks for sharing! I first seen this awhile ago and have been wanting to check Ave 26 tacos our next time we visit LA, I couldn’t find the video for the last 6 months and seeing we will be in LA in 2 weeks for 7 days I was telling my wife “damn I can’t find the video, very bummed out” so glad I found it!! Thanks agao
No idea why everyones talking shit about the guy who provided excellent commentary for the taco culture. Do people these days not have hobbies? If we start talking cars I can go 3 straight hours without taking a breath. People hating because this guy has a passion need to evaluate themselves.
Yea dude...went there with the fam when we went to LA last year,it was full of hype beasts and just cool ppl,and now it’s just gonna be filled with hipsters now :(
Im a mexican , been to the states many times , specially Cali and yeah the tacos are the same as in Mexico , actually ive had some carnitas at some market in L.A and those are by far the best carnitas ive ever had , the pork has more flavor up in the staes
Really, if there's a street food restaurant that is serving its food for less than $5, it will undoubtedly be one of the best places you could ever go to eat.
I eat here after roller blading in a group that tours the city and starts in Little Tokyo. I didn’t realize this place had gotten media attention, but that’s a cool part about living in LA! There’s so much interesting stuff going on. It feels like you’re in the center of the world.
im glad im mexican and my mom tacos omg are the best because my GRANDMA used to be chef i missed her RIP grandma that my mom aka mom so yeah i missed MEXICO 8-15-2020
@@alikhaled844 It's a no man's land. Fun and cheap, but also a dangerous place. Haven't been to Mexico in a while, but everyone I know from Mexico agrees it's getting worse by the day, specially after the mad man they have for President took office.
I remember driving passed this once but never had the chance when I was back in LA for a couple months. I thought it was over rated but man I wish I went once at least
Ave 26 tacos are the best Me and some friends took our friends from England to get tacos here and it was a memorable experience for them that they can’t forget and always mention
The dude with glasses reminds me of the kid in school you need to borrow a pencil from but will start talking to you about class for 10 mins because of it
Beef head tacos (tacos de cabeza) often use only the beef cheek meat, rather than cooking the entire head. Many taco stands and restaurants prefer to cook and serve just the cheek meat for these tacos.
There is a spot I would love to recommend for you guys to go check out it's an Avenue 26 as well but San Fernando Road Cypress Park the taco guys there so delicious tacos are very good and they have a bit of everything as well I would recommend if you guys can check the place out very good food very good tacos
That’s cool that there’s more street vendors now, who doesn’t want tacos and churros??? Back in the day it was just these dudes tho, and they are iconic !
