That's because you've never sat in one, lol. The foam isn't like those uncomfortable popcorn shipping balls. My ex had/has? a luvsac. It was a lot less than $1k but it was also nearly 20yrs ago. Was a lot of work putting it together and hella heavy and nearly impossible to move to new homes but that suede and moldability was worth it. I slept many many hours on that thing. I wish I'd gotten it and one of the cats when we broke up...

At the end of the day, the Embody isn't built for raw comfort, because it's an ergonomic office chair that's meant to maintain good back health and posture. I currently use the Aeron, and it's been incredibly supportive for my back for both work and gaming.

I came here to say the same thing. I sat in one a while back and it is mind blowing that a desk chair can be that comfy. But at £1500 it is out of my reach.

Yeah I was shocked I have NEVER seen the Herman Miller Embody as factory brand new go for £1099 GBP (BTW $500 is just under £400) here in the UK and even that price was a Black Friday deal for £200 off a couple months ago. In fact for the past few years I have NEVER seen a brand new out of factory Herman Miller Embody or Aeron chair go for under £1K. I have so badly wanted a Herman Miller Aeron or Embody and am currently using one of those cheap $50 reception chairs that you get in classrooms (in school) and waiting rooms in public buildings because my uncle got lots of them for free when the office he was working at went bust we (my extended family included) probably got more than $10K worth of office furniture from there and he got the best out of of the lot for himself and even that was not the best furniture and the ones we got were the trash ones and the only real office chairs with castors were also the cheaper ones worth like $200 max brand new. The only expensive stuff was the filing and stationary cabinets and large conference desks. this was like in 2015 and since then I broke the one office chair I had and I have gone through 3 "free" office chairs since and now use one of those cheapo school chairs. Always wanted a Herman Miller or something similar. The only thing preventing me getting it anytime soon is that on their official site they don't have any way to finance payments (I don't want to pay interest and just want to do a pay in 3 like paypal does because I can easily pay it off in 3 because I have the ability to live and look after myself but I don't trust myself to hold more than £1K without spending some of it)

Of course it is lol, that's the HM Embody. It's the gold standard for ergonomic office chairs, and widely respected by chair enthusiasts. That bean bag may be better than any other bean bag on the market, but it's nowhere the level of the Embody.
