Also if we could only produce consumer goods more locally than they wouldn't be transported to far. My vehicle is 2010 and it is mostly fine except for some electric things that stopped working (e.g. electric mirror adjustors, using my third battery). Refrigerator, electric stove and dish washer were all replaced at 20 years of age two years ago. Clothes washer, dryer, furnace and A/C are all 22 years old, might need to be, should really be, replaced soon. Nothing lasts forever, even me.
