Thank you for always putting Iran in the spotlight in such positive light, but maybe not mention that Iran is simply desert climate? While we do have a desert, we aren't just 'all desert' like some people may stereotype us as. 😅 After all, Iran has multitude of different terrain since its natural borders are mountains; we have deep forests and even jungles, experience snow, and have beautiful seaside/beachside cities.
Also, found it weird that you snacked on the rock candy when unlike its American cousin where you do have it by itself, Iran's is more for tea lol. But you do you, Drew! Thank you again for posting positive things on Iran!! 🙇

Im iranian myself ! and i got to say dollar is 28x times expensive... So thats the problem for us but people who are living outside Iran They can live easy In Iran itself with only 100$ for a place to stay in for months
DREW! thats not rock candy! thats nabat. they are like sugar cubes but better and are good for any illness as all persian mothers insist haha. if you want literal rock candy you can find a small bag in any corner shop of little delicous chocolates that look like real painted rocks! next time you go i do recommend you get them though. they just hit different haha.
The thing is that rock candy is called nabat and we don’t snack on it at all because it’s just made of sugar and is bad for our teeth so we we use it for sweeting chai/tea

As a matter of fact, Iran is a highly expensive country for its locals, the average pay to the living cost ratio is so unbalanced and almost everyone is struggling financially. Buying stuff like tech and cars etc is too expensive, for the shittiest cars you have to pay about 5 years of your salary. It only is expensive when you compare the living cost to USDs. Because the value of a single unit of our money is so low relative to a USD and it's a pretty cheap vacation destination. But if you're a local, man you're screwed.
As an Iranian , I can agree. It's very cheap , but only for you. Your $10 is roughly 5,000,000 Iranian rials. The average Iranian doesn't earn a lot of money. Many Iranians can not afford to spend even $10 per day.

Honestly as an Iranian myself Idk if I have to happy that everytime we travel we come back with loads of stuff for little money or sad that the currency’s value is so low in the international market. (Ps: I’m wayy more sad than happy)
