Aah, the anti-blended/single malt-only hipsters. I just ignore them. Every whisky is it’s own experience. Whisky tasting seems snobby on the surface (and it can be) but it’s super interesting once you get into it. It’s a whole world. The most fun is finding a friend who has a totally different taste compared to your own so you get two very different experiences from the same drink. So far my favorite is still, after many years, Bowmore 12 years, it has the perfect balance for my taste.

After watching you review a whiskey like this, it feels like whiskies have a whole world of literature, philosophy and art behind them. Mind blown, you really seem like a seasoned whiskey lover.
Hey Danny (Eso in my heart!!). The macallans are Beautiful and Very tasty. I recommend 12 year as a starter. Would be fun to see you do the Connor mcgregor One as well. I have a small, Danish made Collection of whiskeys. Pm me if u want some samples :-) ggs
Hey Danny, here's an idea. Make a post (maybe a week to a month beforehand) stating what whiskeys you'll be trying and on what days. Then you can livestream the event and try the whiskey along side your viewership! Who have now had a chance to get their own bottle if they so choose. Obviously only those who are of legal age in their respective countries should participate.
That was my go to cheap whiskey when I was younger and drinking more often. If you want to try a different cinnamon whiskey try Jack Fire in my opinion it's better.
The two you need to try, and the only ones in my cabinet, are Johnny Walker BLUE label and Pappy Van Winkle. It will change the bar by which you judge.
My favourite whisky. Tried it for the first time in 2007. Difficult to get hold of here in Sweden though so I try to get a bottle whenever I visit Glasgow. Recently I got it in Edinburgh airport for only £11, an absolute bargain. 👍🥃
I probably love this channel more than any of the other review channels! I mean, I love your gaming channel also OFC, but this is just so well done man!
Tullamore has been my go to budget whiskey. I reccomend it to anyone out there who buys a lot of Jameson. It's about the same price, and I personally kinda prefer it!
I know this is two years old but I discovered an empty bottle of Tullamore Dew in my room recently and don't remember ever drinking it, so it must be good!
Danny... making a video about a Scottish whisky and you put an 'e' in there in the title, I know you know better! If it was an Irish, yes it has to be there, but not with a Scottish. Also my go to budget whisky is Glen Talloch. Not the best ever but good enough for when I need a cheap one. Glen Dronach (12 years) is a very good mid range whisky in my opinion.
This is pretty interesting to me because I can’t drink whiskey (I’m coeliac) and never knew that it was such a sophisticated spirit. Keep up the great work Danny!
BTW E150 is caramel (ie burnt sugar) and is one of the most common food colorings for enhancing naturally occurring colours and correcting natural variations in colour (which is why it tends to be used in whiskey).
Compass Box make some incredible blends. If you want an amazing old school blend circa 1960s with a heavy single malt content, when blends were king and hardly anyone drank single malts try their Great King Street Glasgow Blend. And if you go to their website they tell you which single malts they use.
Can you recommend a great whiskey for my husband of 30 years? He likes "Woodford Reserve". (We are in USA). Since I rarely drink alcohol, I don't know the best one to get him. Thanks, appreciate the lessons! Keep it up for us noobs.
Hi Danny, I am familiar with you game review channel and thought I would check this one out. Great idea but, as a Scot, I felt I should point out that Irish whiskey is spelt with an "e" but Scotch whisky is without the "e" Keep up the great work.
"Do you get to the cloud district very often? Oh what am I saying? Of course you don't." One arrow to the mouth later I'm not on in the cloud District I'm in cloud 9 👍🏻
Been drinking W M for years, for me its as good as top branded whiskies if not better! 🥃 I get the litre bottle from Tesco £19.50 but with club card points £16 bargain! 😎
Thanks for supper interesting video! I’m a big fan of whyte & Mackay in Japan. Btw, how is it common to drink whisky in in the UK? Nil or twice up are coming? In Japan, it is very common to drink it with soda, which is called “high-ball”. Also, Johnnie Walker and Ballantine's are easily available in Japan, but Famous Grouse and White & Mackay are hard to find out. So every time I find these whisky I buy them.
Danny, you should try Japanese whisky, specifically anything from the Suntory distillery. Hibiki is a lovely smooth drink but 12year old Yamazaki is awesome.
Lol now let's all imagine if Danny would find a bottle of whiskey in Skyrim or even a mod for him to change the black Bier to Danny's whiskey tasters and you get his whiskey instead of Nord Mead or the wines plus we would need to get his lines from this series and give the character behind bar his voice model and lines after all this we be able to drink with our favorite Skyrim RU-vidr and be drinking buddy's double win in my book
Actualy very nice sherry cask taste but is a bit too sweet for my taste. Tastes like Glen Moray with a sherry and but with loads of sugar👍This is my favourite budget whisky🖤
Happy to follow you to this new path but I have such a strong association with your voice and Skyrim that watching this feels weird. Don't skip over the Japanese whiskies, they might surprise you. I know they're a bit more expensive over there.
I think so, yeah. On his main channel thru the community tab, he mentioned what website he can get whiskey from the USA. Which is actually the first time he mentions this new channel.
