Those will be some nice tools when they are cleaned up. Get you some Evaporust and give them a soak then wire wheel them. You did very well with this tool haul. The box is awesome. I've never seen one like it before.

Barcalo Buffalo made tools until they sold the tool division to Crescent. They continue today making furniture. You may know them for their Barcalonger easy chairs. Bonney Gray tools are somewhat rate in the lower 48.
The old diamond shaped thing with the old handle is a brick masons trowel. The plumb bob is more than likely made of brass and will be soft so be careful cleaning it up. They clean up very nice. And the wooden thing looks to me like someone made a handle for shovel maybe??
Could be related to chemicals that may have been/currently be on the tools. Also, I know my hands usually get filthy when handling old tools that I have just picked up or am browsing through.
@airmobiledivision7759 that and metal splinters, gloves don’t do a whole lot but it’s better than nothing. But there’s more to it, I’ll explain it sometime.
