I am Ken Abroad, a full-time traveler traveling southeast Asia. It is my goal here on the channel to visit every country in southeast Asia and bring you along the journey.
You won’t see many tourist places in my videos, I rather like to show the “real” sides of each country in my videos. Where do the local people go to eat? Where do they hang out? How do the locals travel through the country? Stuff like that.

Compared with other countries in Asia, street food in Vietnam is actually cheap! The eggplant stand may be visited by many foreign tourists, so the price is a little higher than outside! The coconut chocolate pancake is very attractive, I really want to try it! The last ice cream is called fried ice in my country. I feel that night market is worth a visit, thank you very much for taking us to there! 👍🤩🙏👏

There is some your mistake when you read her menu so your order is wrong. Ambarella is Cóc not Ổi. Ổi is Guava 😊

With $10++, you could get 8 items from that night market. Of all the items, the fried tofu and eggplants didn't look impressive at all (my honest opinion) Surprised that there wasn't any dip given. Great that you like that banana "kuih". Well done, Ken, you still can remember the word "kuih" which we refer it as little cake 👏👏👍 Chestnut pancake looked yummy and that "Kem Cuon Thailand" was the best of all. Looooove this video. Another fantastic time spent with great content maker "Ken". Thank you so much and cheers, Ken.

The yellow banana cake that you ate with the sweet coconut milk called Bánh Chuối in Vietnamese. They cut banana in slices, then mixed it with a bit of sugar and tapioca starch. Then they steamed it in the cake baking pans. Yellow color is either from food color or turmeric.

You have this funny way of repeating yourself when they don't understand English, as if they will understand it the 2nd time. Maybe try more hand gestures? Good video, i enjoyed it.

Ambarella called ‘trai coc’ in Vietnamese. The one you drank was guava, called Oi. They’ve different flavors.

I recently went to that night market…unfortunately I didn’t want to eat any of the street food. It was quite hot there….and it made the food much less appealing in real life.

Hi Ken ! So your visa is finally extended for an extra 30 days now . Oi is Guava in English . The Banana cake is called Banh Chuoi Nuoc Dua which means banana cake with coconut milk . That chestnut cake is called Banh Nuong Hat De , a speciality of Sapa .

The drink menu has the order of Vietnamese on top and English below. You order Ổi, which is guava in Vietnamese (Guava is writen below Ổi), so they make guava juice for you. 😅

Wow, another interesting video showing what you can get with $10. Yeah, that green fruit looks more like a guava instead of ambarella which you ordered. ln Malaysia, ambarella is known as "ambra". The juice will taste better if "asam boi" is added. Yup, you have tasted this ambarella juice when you were invited to a Sri Lankan home..😊
