It feels like Morejstu was their inspiration for the budget challenges

College, Jackson MS, 1970 or '71. Rare snow event. Students procured flat cafeteria serving trays (fiberglass - I think) and went sliding (until the cafeteria put guards on the doors.) We could only fit our late teenage butts on the tray, had to hold our legs up (still had slim waistline and strong stomach muscles). We used our hands to steer - going too far to the right? slide your left hand on the snow until the direction is corrected. Once a few people established a slicked down 'run' or two it became much much easier for everyone who followed. I suspect you guys could have accomplished the same thing by purchasing an aluminum sheet pan. Cost $10-$15 (2020 dollars.) However, I seem to remember that fiberglass worked better than metal for some reason - something about snow attaching to metal more readily than to fiberglass. Still, I believe there are various fiberglass rectangular trays available for under $20. It just taked some innovation and creativity.

Think Chris’s downfall on his sled was putting a boogie board horizontal and not vertical
