Neutral eye-shadow palettes are a dime a dozen, making a great rainbow eye-shadow palette hard to find. But recently, an influx of superbright, pigmented, rainbow eye-shadow palettes in all price ranges have hit the beauty world. Concealer is even better than primer. I have found only one primer that didn't mute the colors or became patchy and greasy, and that's the p louise base, which is a primer/concealer duo. I always use a concealer, don't set it, and apply the pigments right on. I recently switched to using a white concealer and now the colors are mind blowing. Don't waste time on primers for eye shadow unless you have an insanely oily lid and found your holy grail.

Paige Holland If I want my eyeshadow to survive for more than an hour, I have to use primer. I do have both oily eyelids AND hooded eyes, the holy grail of eyeshadow issues lol. I tried the Urban Decay primer that is supposed to be a godsend and hated it. My go to eyeshadow primer now is (oddly enough) the Milani one. Sometimes the cheap drugstore products are better.

The reason the Viseart shadows got so muddy is because she seemed to apply all colours with the Real techniques blending eye brush, which is thiccc. Maybe using a smaller tipped rounded or flat brush would have given a more accurate outcome with all the shadows? Just my opinion.

Viseart is a professional make up brand. They do hold themselves apart when it comes to application technique and blending. You put on too much product at once and you used a synthetic brush. The result? an unfavorable finished look due to incorrect application/not knowing how to handle the formula. It's not that you have to baby it, but again, it's a pro formulation and you work it differently than that J* & drugstore brands.

I'm surprised the Jefree Star one won. The Viseart one was the most beautiful and looked like it was eons better than the rest.

Viseart is by far superior. She just admits it herself. Her lack of skill is what made the looks awful. With proper skill the Viseart palette does not look muddy at all. It’s basic colour theory knowledge and application experience that avoids muddying. I’ve invested in Viseart and never looked back.

The Viseart eyeshadows looked the best, almost painterly, and they had more dimension, which is pretty interesting considering they're all matte. The Jeffree Star eyeshadows looked like they were not sticking/patchy on the eyelid. It looked like the Sugarpill eyeshadows outperformed the Jeffree Star shadows.

Maybe the Viveart palette would’ve blended better and wouldn’t turn out so muddy if she didn’t PACK her whole eyelid with RED first before checking how pigmented it was

NYX shadows are terrible. Wet and Wild are meh, they disappear by the end of the day even with primer. Never used Sugarpill May have to try. I love Jeffree Star’s shadows. Viseart not used. I’m amused at her freaking out at the price of it. Natasha Denona palettes highest ones retail for $229.

Viseart and sugarpill are superior and aren’t racists. You need GOOD primer for the drugstore makeup. I’ve literally used them for my drag makeup and baby they do work. Just know wtf ur doing

I have seen so many people review viseart and have never everrr heard even one bad mark about them except pricepoint.The few singles of viseart that I have of theirs is bomb af,but i still wouldnt pay 80bucks.But Id pay 58 for Jawbreaker and did cuz I have it!💕💞💗😁

Very true. People rate things better the more expensive they are, so a blind test would be better for this type of scenario so you don't know what brand you're actually using.

Viseart is by far the superior eyeshadow palette outta of all the Palettes u used! Reason Y u didn't get a good blend w/ur eye look is because u used the wrong brushes! I'm a professional Cosmetologist, I'm not being shady! That huge hunky chunky brush that u used looks like a concealer brush not a bending or shading brush of any sorts! So u definitely will get a bad blend if ur using incorrect tools!
