I honestly think having broken characters is fine. There are so many now that having some joke characters helps people just have fun. It doesn't need a nerf.
that ending, i laughed my ass off. it was soo funny. padding made that run incredibly broken, it kept you below 50% health at all time maiking the doublke regen kick in+ esty's couch. none of it alone made it broken, but all that together just snapped the game in half
I think there should be an item that makes it to where turrets spawn closer to the player in a rough circle (not clumped like engineer does). Also, I think every X amount of engineering should increase the structure attack speed, would be pretty cool.
Hands down the best Brotato vid I've seen so far in terms of pure enjoyment.. a big smile was plastered on my face all through the entire vid and was having a hard time trying not to laugh out loud 🤣
I guess Esty's Couch like not affected on Streamer Effect, maybe towards extra speed? Wonder if the base speed can affect the Esty's Couch regen if I getting hallucinated
It was def bugged, it seemed like it wasn't working properly (only giving +28 hp regen) on the mid-round-shop, but after the round started the regen began scaling again, by the end it definitely looked to have increased (and it wasn't just the regeneration potion). Maybe it scales logarithmically?
From my perspective, it's like an extra speed affecting it. Not in character as a basic speed, or Chunky shenanigans (it's not affected 'cuz no move modifier). If it's a bug, that's good before it got launched on official one
Yea it seemed like it only measured base speed as calculated by items, not whacky interactions. I wonder now if it would work with that item that makes you slower when you get hit. Or was that a modded item?
That's not a mod tho, Streamer and the next one is in the Early Access now. You gonna meet them on the Original Soon. Also, Tardigrade and some of them is a new item on that Early Access.
The sad part is, Esty's couch, with -50000000 speed still can barely keep up with the boss damage. The item isn't as broken as it seems. And that was with the doubled life regen.
Unfortunatelly Esty couch need permanent speed debuff. Streamer speed debuff is temporary. Otherwise he would have regen a fk ton per sec. Even more broken than that
Btw the sausages also work with the turrets they will also get added burning damage. So with the elemental damage -> engeniering damage item this would have been even more broken ;)
Actually the Charakter is inspired by a German RU-vidr/Streamer group called pietsmiet and one of the members asked for a Charakter with those abilities
BREAKING NEWS: Local Potato Literally Becomes too Rich, too Slow, and too Stupid to Die They also changed the padding item I think, making it even more stupid on some characters.
Man this character getting capped at 25 materials per second now feels like a bit much for a nerf. Obviously this run is a showcase of it being way too strong if left unchecked entirely, but gaining maximum effectiveness at 825 materials is such a shame. A set of Thieves Daggers and a couple hunting trophies can easily net you thousands of bonus materials in a large wave while still being able to move, Streamer now gets a max of 2,250 if you don't move once in a 90 second wave. Obviously the strat now is to go full auto-battler maintaining your econ between the waves then cash out for the boss wave so you don't die from being unable to move, but having this potential off the back of high rolling full legendary weapons, Padding, Couch, and the new Regen item while already having 40+ regen feels fine? By the time you are able to get all of it set up you've already earned the win by playing well for the whole game leading up to it.
I thought it was so weird for the title to be 100k every second because I thought there was NO WAY that was true, but making a clickbaity title like that is not really Retro's style, even if by a technicallity (like the title saying "1k harvesting" but that only happening after the final wave ends), and I KNOW that, but the title was so ridiculous that it made me question Retro's integrity. And I am so happy I was wrong
While it'd be odd to do it again, do you think you'll try them out with the max cap of 25 materials per second? I feel like I got to it so late that it's become...quite difficult.
it looks really crazy, but you don't move at all, your assets increase just around 6 times in 60 seconds. But in 5 rounds it will already increase 7,776 times lol
they have to lower the material reduction from killing enemies and to lower the per second part, so that you don't get super behind if you are forced to move early, which clearly only depends on rng as this is a enginering character. or they should remove the dmg down per material so that you can pair structures and actual aoe dmg so that by moving you have a chance to clear out a path. you in this situation for 2/3 of the game where you either don't gain enough to make standing still good enough to compensate for the loss of material drops or have 0 dmg by your own, and super low movespeed. so it's rng on rng get good placments early so that you can stand still during several waves and get very favorable shops so that you can afford to use the character. for that you need both money stocked and enough structures to deal dmg with you being useless and slow which would already be most likely a win on another char if you are that lucky. this char doesn't need a nerf he needs a buff for the first half of the game i think making material gained scale out of another stat so that you can actually use your money and get a better income early with less crazy exponential endgame
Everybody is focusing on the late game and saying this is broken but the early game was a nail biter, he almost died several times. I think it didn't need a nerf
this dev should act like vampire survivors dev and not take this game too seriously, cant believe they nerfed so much that its basically not worth playing
and therefore nursing is not a stressful thing I've done in my life, what, operating under the assumption that what I said _wasn't_ a joke (which it was) what would your point even be anyways lol
To everyone who sees the title of this video, I promise you this: you do NOT know what 100,000 materials every second looks like. You don't even know what 10,000 materials every second looks like. NOTHING WILL PREPARE YOU FOR THIS VIDEO.
The most broken run I ever had, by a very wide margin, was with Lucky. I got a shedload of luck, I forget how many cyberballs, I forget how many baby elephants, and the Sifding Tool (yes that's my headcanon name for it). I don't remember even seeing enemies towards the end. There was just a constant stream of materials and everything died the moment it spawned. The only reason I even moved around was to look for trees. My slingshots were completely irrelevant after I'd killed the first few enemies in the round and started the feedback loop. I think that was only less broken than your streamer run on the boss wave TBH. Rounds ~14-19, I couldn't take damage even when I tried.
