As a Texan native, Buc-ees is amazing. It's by far the best gas station. They have so much to offer in terms of food, novelties, gifts, plus the restrooms are picture-perfect clean.
What downright shocked me beyond the obvious huge size is the pricing...Everything is so freaking cheap. We'd pay 1.5-2x at least in euro's at our gas stations
I have never been to Texas but just watching this video makes me want to go to this gas station I would buy fudge and quail eggs and things to take home and just stuff my face there and who could leave without an ugly Christmas sweater :-)
I live in Mckinney where the Hutchins is located. It's the original and the brisket is top notch. The Buccees is just up north. It's about 30 miles north of Dallas on the way to Oklahoma
Really like the fact this is yours and you bring in a childhood friend who is enjoying to watch. You guys interactions are genuine and very enjoyable to watch
As another Texas native, THANKS for sampling our store! I wish you all would’ve gotten to try the beaver nuggets though man! Lol As a Texan there’s SO many reasons to stop at buccees… and even if there’s not, we still go 😂🙈 I absolutely LOVE your show Sonny! Anyone else watching from Houston, TX?
As a recent transplant from Texas I love how Sonnys reaction to the delicious nuts is to immediately eat another one and John just dumps them on his face.
Great episode, Buc-ees is like the Disney World of gas station. Just a heads up though you guys should have gotten the fudge, cost wise it is like one of the most expensive items there and would have run up the bill big time.
6:04 is hilarious. I love these videos with you and an old old bud, it's effortless and funny (not that your others aren't, I love all your other co-hosts).
I created a video of where I tried all of the jerky there. The guy at the counter thought I was nuts and had to individually wrap each 1 piece so I kmew what flavor I was eating. Cheers for the comprehensive video! Hit me up next time youre in Texas, I have sone good ideas for us to try out!
Pickled eggs are americas first snack food. They were done all over europe and came here with the first colonials. Its not random its just a company that hasn't forgotten its history.
I love Sonny and Mark because you both are so versatile in your all activities, you both can adjust all kind of peoples’s lifestyle and eat anything around the world. Keep it up….from Japan.
Heck I spend $40 there just stopping to go to the bathroom……. The food gets you every time. I’m definitely going to miss kolache‘s when I move up north.
I went to my first Buc-ees in Florence SC a couple weeks ago - wow- what an awesome experience! Bought a bunch of cool food items to take home- and yes I’m a beaver believer now 😊
Bucc-ee’s is life. You will see people spend $100+ on almost everything some will spend $200. My favorite sandwich is the sauerkraut pastrami reuben. Next time pls try it.
Confirmed: Unicorn does not taste like mutton. Awesome video, and your co-host made me laugh, too. He seems like a fun guy to hang with. Love Buc-ees, gotta swing by there again real soon!
Inflation is a MF'er because I went to a Buc-ee's in Florence SC (5 months ago) and brisket sandwiches were $14 a piece. Other sandwiches you picked were (pulled pork) $12. Those were the two kinds I got and store was soooo busy I did not (could not) look around any further but everything was way more expensive at my local location here in SC compared to the the one you visited in Texas!!! Great video!
Kolachi (the plural form, used as the singular in Texas) is a type of Czech pastry filled with ground meat or sweet jelly. It was brought to Texas by Czech immigrants, of whom there are quite a few in the Lone Star state.
On our way to Cocoa Beach last summer, my wife and I stopped at the Buc-ees in Warner-Robbins, GA. Loved it so much, we stopped at the one in Daytona Beach and back at Warner-Robbins on our way home!
INSANE. There is nothing better than Gas Station MEGA-STOPS. Buc-ee's isn't the only one to do something like that but Boy, do they kill it or what. It's basically like a gas station/ supermarket BUT- like a Whole foods but nothings Good for you. that's the best way to describe it. All stuff that is incredibly made and incredible to eat= but not if you're going the 'Healthy' route. I love that this place exists and I hope it makes a ton of money. Just that they make their own Fudge- did you see all the flavors and didn't it all look awesome, wow. Than, they basically have their own Que shop- it also looked fabulous. Also, wanna say that the Beaver Twinkie in the beginning of the show= holy mackerel- that sounded insane and looked Bomb. It's so weird how a place that sold food like that, if it were located in the Twin Cites= would absolutely KILL but we don't have one. I've been everywhere and MN is my Home, but we easily have the shittiest food scene on the planet and the people who live there= don't know what good food is. This is the only city I have ever lived in that has garbage pizza= across the board. I mean Literally- not one good pizza joint. The places that do well are not good pizza. I don't see how people think what they are eating is good= blows me away. Anywho, thanks for the show, never heard of Melissa and than saw it's outside McKinney, which I know where that is as I lived in Richardson, which is really just a Dallas Suburb. Dallas is the only cool city in texas= all the other ones suck. Even Austin, lol. I know as I have lived in all of them.
I need to move back to Texas!!! Buc-ee’s is the best place to stop on your way to the west of Texas on I-10 or east going home… I lived in Texas for 2 decades and I always stop there
This chain was started by a man from Lake Jackson, Tx who was on a road trip with his young daughter. They could not find a stop with a clean restroom for his daughter and the idea was born.
Whoever said men will always be kids was right, this feels like watching 2 kids play with their toys. I wish my childhood friend was still alive, we were just like Sonny & Joh. Our friendship made our mothers best friends effortlessly 😢
I’ve heard of Buc-ee’s, but really didn’t know much until I watched this video and had my tiny little mind blown. Makes me wish I lived in Texas just so I can go. Then I googled the store name and found out there’s one opening here in Colorado in 3 days! If this isn’t God’s best use of divine intervention, I can’t imagine what is.
Yeah Buc-Ees is fire. Can’t argue that. Drive every weekend to my ranch and pass two. Probably the most efficient, cheap, and clean gas station I’ve ever been
