Greetings from Torrance! Whew! A hundred a hand can be pretty stressful, but a 900 dollar pay off for a full house is awesome! Hitting a quad is icing on the cake! Hope you are doing well. Its no longer 97 in Torrance. Back to normal weather. Oh, BTW- took my Mom to Pechanga on Saturday and she was dealt a Royal Flush. Unbelievable! Take care sir!
I'm a little worried......Noticed a change in personality, playing style, frequency and general feel of the vids since the announcement of lost job. I hope everything is okay for you Andrew. Just feels like something major has shifted and maybe not for your better. Everything feels a little desperate. Please don't take that the wrong way........just concerned. Still tuned in. Good luck!
have been watching your play. I have played keno for years and won some large jackpots. feel the need for a change. watched you, played as smart as I could, won $200 aces w 2 on bonus poker. I will get my nerve up to bet more as time goes. But at 71, I best hurry up...We just moved to Vegas...Thanks for sharing. Vicki
Thanks Andrew, good luck to you and the rest of crew in Vegas this weekend. We're going to Laughlin for the first time, since Wendover ended their flight program, thought we would give it a try. Be well!
Ok ....a few us will call this out EVERY time....your money or not: STOP HOLDING THE "9" WHEN ROYAL OPPORTUNITY IS THERE. it's like watching a scared amateur. Love most of your content except for that consistent aspect of your play.
I've been enjoying your content, "IN MY OPINION " THAT WASN'T A GOOD WAY TO END YOUR BLOG!!!! I sincerely wish you success on this channel, I "PERSONALLY " didn't appreciate the inference. Best of luck, Ron.
Not a ding on your videos but I definitely enjoy it when you keep a running commentary going as you play. Some of us tend to play along with you. By the time I focus on your deal you have made your draw. Not much time to anticipate the possible outcome and cheer you on. The screen view changes so rapidly, my eyes get stressed trying to keep up. The wife and I view every video you post regardless of the eye strain. We are old.
I would agree - we watch video's for the personality as much as the action, it would be nice to know where he's playing, the stakes, his plans for the session, some slick editing, any action at the casino, get some clear commentary.other than mumbling . Other vloggers are all talking loud with their comments at the games. It is his job now, YT vlogging is a competition for views. (I would also suggest a few more gambling related tag words in your video description for the YT search engine)
at 1405 spade draw for the flush or the Royal you did make the correct call by correct play but you will never know what lied under the 9 of spades. Damn it!!!
Nice hit on the quads. Got a royal flush dealt on 50 cent triple play ultimate x (no active multipliers) at circa two weekends ago. Crack em for a big win in Vegas!
I have a question for you, no matter where you go, are there other ways to tell which video poker machines are ready to pay out or are likely to pay out or does it just depend on whether they are in a bar or not, weekends or weekdays, how much a player pays a certain amount in a machine that he or she just got up from, etc. Please let me know ok, ty, and I enjoy watching your videos, would like to meet you someday in Vegas or elsewhere so I can watch a master play and pick your brain for how to win more money! Take care!
I bet you hold 3 to the Royal next time but I totally understand wanting that $300 for the flush. Ignore the know it alls and the haters I was in Vegas Saturday dropping to boat off at lake mead and hit Sams Town for the first time in years and forgot how good the video poker is there and did quite well with lots of quads. Then off to Main St Station and and the Cal and did good there but………. Then off to The Circa chasing the dragon on 5 play Ultimate X and gave it all back plus $500 of my own😵💫 Keep rolling brother 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
5 videos in 2 weeks and you want $25/mo? Tried the 2nd tier $10/mo for 3 mos. Originally said special access to videos, then the description changed. Never had any notices, special access etc. Need to get you act together and let us know what's up if you want support. You may have to buy your own McDonalds.
Its staggering the amount of viewers you have with such specialized degrees. I've noticed these but not limited to: Psychologist Pro VP players Family counselors Mind readers Computer coders Casino designers Fiduciaries I'm shocked if one of your viewers don't receive a nobel prize or at least make it to the medal round.
On this paytable (9/6 DDB), holding the 9 is the very slightly better play in the long run. It's very close (like .02%), and yes, you'll block the occasional royal, but professionals worry about maximizing long-term EV, not short-term results. There are plenty of strategy charts and software available online to analyze any given hand. There is another good poker variation called 10/7 Double Bonus, and you frequently have to hold a 4th suited card with a 3-card Royal, unless it's TJQ or JQK. So you just have to make your peace with occasionally seeing that 4th part of the Royal pop up.
You didn’t seem to be enjoying yourself. Seem desperate now. Slow down and you’ll make fewer mistakes. When you get excited about hitting a bullshit flush that’s playing with scared money. I live here in Vegas and have seen people loose their houses and families to gambling. Be careful and know when to walk away or take a break.
Put the numbers in some software or provide them before posting and giving people bad info. I would have gone for the royal when he got K, A, 9, and 10 of spades, but the expected value still higher to hold all 4.
@@snowbunny6171 Although it seems counterintuitive, in the spades hand at 14:08, the correct play is actually to hold ATK9. It's very close, at .02% difference, but it is slightly better than holding AKT. Video Poker is all about eking out the small percentages in the long term, even if they seem insignificant, or do not scratch a gambling itch. It is very difficult for most people to have the discipline to not "go for the Royal". There are many websites and software available which will allow you to analyze any given hand in any paytable. I ran this hand for the paytable he's playing (9/6 DDB), and he did make the correct play in this case.
Mach was in take mode after the 5K hit, perhaps should have bailed at 1.5K, tried the remaining 1.5K in another mach. Not to say make any diff, but the downward trend on that mach was evident.
Everyone has their own comfort level, but for sure I'd be playing much more deliberately at $100/hand. Even small EV mistakes would add up quickly at that denomination.
@@jmb1666 my god you don’t have a clue.. the whole point is gambling on video poker can’t be beat long term hence why a guy with a family needs to keep his job and quit gambling
@@danstevens6495 I do have a clue, but can't stand when people feel the need to give unwanted advice. I do see a trainwreck happening here, though. I enjoyed his videos up until recently, when he lost his job, and I felt sad when he thought he can become a 'professional'. I think he's truly addicted and the high of winning $100,000 suckered him in. I have been playing 25 years and love it, but I don't have kids or family depending on me...nor do I play at those levels so I liked seeing the jackpots. But everything in moderation!
