Ya i never understood that either, id just go over and talk to them and if theyre being respectful i say leave them be. But if theyrr taking to many fish or if theyre undersized you bet your ass im kicking their bucket into the water

people just like the idea of "its our lake" even when its public, the people around it feel like they're paying the taxes for the area. but they act like they own the lake. Most times its just cranky people who don't like people enjoying things around their property so they call, because they are afraid more people will come to enjoy it as well. -.- I was fishing a public lake, and people were in a boat seeing me catch fish from a shore "they're like you cant fish there its private, do you live on the lake?" I'm like "its a public lake where signs posted that says lake is public" they called the police on me saying I was doing something. I told the police they were drunk and didnt know how to fish the lake, so they were upset. one thing lead to another, those 3 got tickets and were boating under the influence in addition to having undersized fish. I sort of wanted to just smile, and say thanks for calling the cops Lmao.
