U literally have me drooling at 7:30 in the morning for lobster. I haven't seen u enjoy food so much in a while. U gotta go back there for sure :)

I was raised in Long Beach.. well technically Signal Hill, Calif but it’s one of those little cities on a hill that overlooks LB and all you needed to do was walk a few blocks and you were on the LB side. I left when I was 30 yrs old and the downtown area was still very quiet. We had just gotten our first mall which was empty for the longest time, nobody seemed interested. Downtown mostly consisted of little mom and pop stores such a lil pharmacy/gift shop, shoe repair, watch repair and we had a high end Dept store called Buffum’s where ppl who still wore fur coats shopped. LoL There was a Copper Penny diner where the OG’s would meet for lunch routinely and our first fast food joint was an Arby’s. For entertainment us kids went to the movies at the one theater we had, we’d go swimming in the summer at the Olympic pool for a 75 cent entrance fee.. it’s a real Olympic pool btw, if you dove down at the deep end you could see a large glass office window with desks, chairs and cameras directly under the high diving board. The biggest form of entertainment for myself and friends was the Long Beach arena where we went to see every rock band who played there and of course we had the annual Grand Prix races which was always a fave for the boys.. and last but not least, it was free to walk onto the Queen Mary ship and I often did my homework there bc it was so peaceful, then I showed up one day and they started charging a dollar to come on board but the guards let me pass anyway. LoL So, moving forward 10 yrs which is when I came back for a visit. I was absolutely gob smacked! I was in shock! The downtown area had blown up into a full blown tourist trap! LoL It was nice on one hand, you had any choice of food you could possibly want to eat but it was all so bunched together and crowded! I forgot to mention that we had an all year round/permanent carnival called “The Pike” that the Ripley’s show used to film there quite often bc there was also a creep museum with an authentic mummy among other mysterious things, it was a fun place to go if you had nothing better to do. None of that exists anymore except the oldest tattoos parlor (next to the Pike) in the US is still standing. It’s an interesting place just to enter and look at all the old photos on the walls, the place has some awesome history. If you are in the military you’d find it particularly fascinating. I still love visiting Long Beach from time to time.. after all, it’s part of my history too but I can’t imagine living there anymore. Family and friends have either passed away or moved away and it’s just not the same for me anymore but it’s a nice place to visit. 👍🏼😊🌻

Looks nice but definitely not worth $120... Lol. I'd expect alot more, even including that $60 lobster for that price.

I went to the one in LA, it was a waste of money. The line for the fish counter was insanely long so I just opted for their food court. It sucked. I wish I could have gone to the fish counter like you did, yours looks fantastic. They overcooked that lobster though by a mile.

Omg I literally live right down the street from Ports O' Call. Before Covid-19 every Saturday me and my family would go to the fish market. Especially since they are reconstructing it. Next time your in San Pedro try Green Onion its on 6th st and Beacon literally a block from the fish market!!!

Oh my goodness, that looked delicious, and u get to pick out everything yourself, cant beat that. And the price was good, with all the corn and potatoes 2 people could've easily made a meal from that tray. I am bookmarking this spot for our next splurge meal. The Lobster appeared to be a bit tough, but i have never seen a tail that big in my life👀.

I thought that giant lobster would be tough. Usually the bigger ones are more chewy, and the smaller ones are more tender as long as they are not overcooked. How did you do it? It really did look tough and chewy. When I lived nearby, I'd go to the San Pedro Fish Market every weekend during Lobster season. I'd get a lobster dinner with corn, cole slaw, and boiled potato sides. Delish!

Very inexpensive n looks delish Raina ! My hubby & I buy 18oz lobster tails here n they are over 100 dollars for 1 . I consider this price very reasonable also considering they are caught fresh daily as well . ooooo yum !😋❤💞💞❤

That seafood platter does not look like there is enough food on it to fill you up but seafood now days is really expensive. I am one of those poor people who can't afford to buy it but I am glad that you are enjoying it.
