The new paint doesn’t match so it makes sense to paint it all again. Maybe the typical eye doesn’t catch it but it bothered me once you took it outside. Looks amazing though
Loved the wrap and would have definitely kept it a while longer only if the paint had been able to properly cure... Another great video! Keep up the awesome work!
General rule is: 'at least 30 days'. Very rarely, less time than this will work. Usually because extra hardner was added to the paint to speed the curing time.
Dang!! I sure hope you got paid enough for the wrap to cover the costs of repainting that.... That's a little heartbreaking to see that. But on the plus side - the body kit looks incredible!
Yoo Stefan's back! Also I just had a thought and that was that you should ask Streetspeed717 to race you. That would be sick! Also maybe James can go with you and all three of you guys can race I think that would be awesome and can make for a great video or two.
That was painful to watch but dang she looks amazing in red!! 😍 I’m hoping it’s just the video lighting but the hood and fender color matching seemed off.
not the worst thing to happen with the paint peeling, the colour match isnt correct on those parts anyway, camera always shows them being a tad bit darker than the original paint.
What about an transition livery wrap on the Vette, like imaging the front in OEM and then on the sides there are these shapes that makes it look like there are air/waves design
The vette is by far my favorite on the channel and what inspired me to get my c6! Just wondering what kind of taillights those are. Keep up the amazing work!
Idk if people realize the amount of paint work you can get for $8k, I know quite a few shops that could paint that vette and make it look new for a lot less than $8k, now a full color change maybe a bit more expensive but still $8k is a lot for a wrap imo..
Stefan... my guy!! Please PLEASE don't take this personally cause I effing LOVE your C6 buuuuut.... whoever color matched the color for your body kit chose the wrong varient. It's sooo much of a darker red then your factory color. I the head painter at the premier body shop in Kalispell Mt (side note one of the trucks I've painted will be in a Ford super bowl commercial this year). Again I'm not trying to disrespect you, your car or the shop that painted it, I just have a keen eye for that stuff with painting cars for 14 years lol. Much love from the beautiful Flathead Valley. Also I'm missing the regular uploads bruh lol. P.S. your paint started to peel 1. Because you trapped solvents under the wrap. Realistically you shouldn't put anything over the fresh paint for atleast 60-90 days after it's been painted because it's still vaping out solvents (unless they used water based paint) and if you put wax, a wrap or even a sticker over that fresh paint to soon you run into peeling paint just like you did and 2. With it peeling on the edges like it was it could be that it wasn't prepped as well too.
Ik the paint was gonna peel, gotta let fresh paint fully cure for a long time before wrapping it, also hot steam will help with wrap removal. I am sad that it ripped off like that 😭💀💀
The paint peeled like that because the paint shop didn't properly prep the surface. Proper prep on a paint job is so important. The Vette looks sweet regardless!
I know you didn't have much time in-between painting and then wrapping the vette but the worst thing you can do is wrap a car that just got painted. Big big sad :(
