I had a same model iPod touch, only the front is white, and every time we leave it to collect dust and then turn it back on, it would be disabled for a long time. An extremely long time specifically. It would say over a hundred thousand minutes.

The mirror is part of the display assembly and enables the ability to scan qr or barcodes so the lase can be reflected back. difference from desktop / laptop displays

I totally remember this iPod touch from 2010. I have a black one with iOS 6.1.6 from eBay, and it works very well, even has flappy bird on it.

I’ve never realized how hard it was to repair the older iPod touch I have one that was fixed a few years ago and I think it was like the iPhones lol but now it may need a battery it don’t turn on to the Home Screen only the Apple logo or restore logo
