This is excellent information! You are correct … Accra is choked. Accra is beautiful but can be a bit pricey. Cape Coast is definitely a viable option for me as a person in the diaspora that wants to repatriate. Thank you Ekow! ❤️🖤💚
This plan for future development is so exciting! I’m from Jamaica but can’t wait to be in my real Homeland. Thank you for all the informative videos Ekow. Keep up the good work. Nuff respect to Wode Maya and Ivy Prosper too. 🤗🇯🇲💛🖤💚❤️🇬🇭
This is great! I’ve always prayed for the day when mother Ghana will focus on developing all of Ghana, and not just the Greater Accra region. I’m from the aforementioned region and lived briefly in Wa (Upper West region) as a child. I went to secondary school in Takoradi (Western region). I’ve been in and through most of the regions in Ghana, but I spent the vast majority of my days in Ghana between Tema and Accra (Greater Accra region). However, I’ve felt that Ghana can not be fully developed until we begin to shift our collective focus on investment and development in the other regions of Ghana. Cape Coast is a beginning. Keep informing and inspiring, bredda.
No please. The Wakanda city is a new city being built on a 30,000 arce land just at the outskirts of Cape Coast (Asebu). However the hotels, museum and other amenities will be located in Cape Coast city center. The main project of building a new city from scratch will be on just the outskirts of Cape Coast. The green city project will deal with upgrading major roads in and around Cape Coast, development of old abandoned buildings and the development of the fosu Lagoon. It also includes art centers and a solar power development.
IT'S ALL HYPE. who is financing this so called smart city project? where are they getting the money from? Why hasn't the major news outlets in Ghana carried this story. Why haven't we heard this from the President or minister of tourism or the central regional minister. When does this project begin and when is it slated to be completed. How does the companies plan to recoup their investment?? please do research and ask critical thinking questions before giving us FAKE NEWS!!
Surely you have high hopes. Rather than build a new city, why do you not first work to make the current city clean of waste, garbage and pollution? Maybe you can start with some paint on the buildings , planting some trees, creating sidewalks & parks and clean the beaches? Whatever it takes to get rid of the pervasive stench seeping from the uncovered gutters and plastic filled streams. Maybe open the library even? Paint the lighthouse? All of these are small steps. Why not Fix the municipal buildings first? And after you finish.. or perhaps at the same time clean up Elmina? And please, stop calling that dungeon a castle. It is the largest, oldest structure in your town that was built by Europeans hundreds of years ago; this is nothing to revel. And you’re right, Fosu lagoon is a shame! It aALL saddens me so.
