I've had mine on a sfb1000.1 since June last year. Works pretty good. Surprised in the accuracy. I have mine in a 1.75 box. That would probably help with cone control.
I recently bought 2 of the SA-LAF122 , only using 1 until I get a better amp but running mine on a Kicker KX600.1 and so far I'm impressed with the performance
Never use drywall screws to mount subs in an enclosure y'all. Machine screws into t-nuts is my preferred choice of hardware. Take 'em out and put 'em in as many times as you want with no loss of holding force.
They make dj speakers. I had some of their single and double cabs and their dj speakers sound good. They are out of Memphis and have the fastest shipping I ever seen. I put in the order one day and the next afternoon it was on the back porch. All I could say is dayuum.
@@areasonablethought610 i didn't overplay them. Their pro drivers are terrible. I used them at recommended ratings and in boxes that are in accordance with what they provide on their site. I typically work with much higher-valued systems like Kv2 and L'Acoustics in huge clubs so id like to think I know a few things about pro audio. yes for the money you get a decent product that can sound good but it's almost as if they don't know much about their product if im running their drivers at recommended specs and still hae to replace drivers.
I bought the same sub about 6 months ago, put a planet audio 1500 with it in a ported box in my jeep and I have no complaints. Just bought a new Chevy Colorado, and me and a friend built a 1.45 sealed box for it yesterday. Should be wiring it up next weekend. I've had the planet audio amp turned all the way up since I got it.
For the price, that's not to bad. 160-180 is a good price range. They would make a nice quad box I bet. Lol But question Parker, What happen to the frontend of your car sir? When I seen that I was like, oh shit! That hurt to see. 44hz would probably be a sweet spot with just a little smaller box, for sure, I would agree.
I being looking at them for some time I love the looks of the sub but now that you reviewed this one I'll buy couple but blow them up lol and upgrade the soft parts lol
Pretty much if you want to use basket and motor just get better parts. Coil spyder and cone. Is fun and learning experience. Now I realize why good subs are expensive lol good luck 👍
I'm having a hard time finding exactly what to get. Do you mind telling me who you ordered from? I don't know if it's design flaw or if it's something I'm doing but it seems like the secondary spider comes loose from the former on these.
That sub is bulletproof the cosmetics don't matter. I've seen you test many top shelf subs that look good but failed, even the pyle from Walmart test held up for so long just depends on the box the watts and fine tuning. You can make 500 bucks sound like 2k.
If some newbie saw 2200 watts, and bought a decent quality amp like a JP23, they would blow that sub immediately lol. For that price range you could buy an American Bass Elite tho🤷♂️
Nice. Sounding sub. I had the 8" on a Kenwood 500x1 and in a ported box. Very musical. However it only lasted a couple months before it stopped working. I am now running a Wolfram 10" entry level sub. And man does it hit. But the SA sounds better. Build quality kind of sucks on the SA.
i actually just got 2 of there GFC 10inch subs and i made a custom box and put it in my truckat first, but.. being 10s idk if it filled the truck enough so i put em in my little work car my cobalt and OMG lol.. the 2 10 inch SA GFC's RACKKKKKK both my back windows are now twerkin haha .. i really likr the quality of the construction of these subs as well, nice basket, stiff spider.. i dont like the single leads and term not being sewn into the spider, but o well// they do bang for the money spnt :) super happy with the SA subs i replaced thm with my worn out JL audio 12s lol
This being a brand new sub you shouldn’t put no more then 500 watts on it for about 3-4 weeks. Just to slowly break it in it want last no time at the wattage it is seeing with your amp.
Hey Parker , I just watched a video from Digital Designs and he was showing different spiders 2 and they both made that crunchy sound. Just an FYI. 💪😎👌
Finally!!! thank you i love these subs they slap for the price you just need to break them in good before you over power them youll rip the top spider off
Those tensile lead wont last they look to weak for a sub that size. Great video parker . see if they have any reconing. Options avalible for those subs
Wow the audio from your video had my stock system with factory sub in a 2007 Dodge Caliber- its just halpily banging away , sounding good . Except when you fast forward with audio during editing , then it sounds Ike my stereo is gonna blow
Not bad man! Def would love to see you throw six in the box and give them a beat down! Time to lose those taramps and get those sick jp amps down4sound! Have one regular and other flipped to show guts now that’s what I’m talking about ! Love the videos keep it up dude
Nice as usual. like to see your take on this subs, I found: Zarem Audio ABM-12 D2. I've heard from a few people saying for $80 bucks they are on point. As i see it these look like Skar SDR?
Parker, since I know you owned some Audiopipe’s before, how do you think this compares to a Audiopipe txx bdc4? Which one do you think is better and why?
I had bdc2s before i sold and got a couple of these due to size constraints (went from car to extended cab s10). They sound ok but don't seem to handle rated power. The double spider idea sucks, already have to recone one due to coming loose and sliding on former destroying the tinsel leads and soon will have to do other. But for little over $100 good deal
@@tommydeininger yeah those seismic audios are over rated but still for the price, I think it’s of good value. How long will they last… I’m not sure. I have one in my xterra in a custom, built to spec ported box. 1.75 net. and it hits a Spl levels a little over 140. @ 40hz. I guess I really should be uploading and Sharing. I also have some bdc4 subs but I didn’t get to try those out yet.
What you recommend to upgrade from some 12 inch mtx 7500?..I have 4 being powered by 2 AP1500bd. I want something beefer but not break the bank. Love your videos bro keep up the good work!
there sre actually some great competition subs where the Spider makes a crunchy sound . Not sure if its Digital Designs or who , but that coating makes it more durable and gives it a longer life , but i forgot the name of the coating too, sorry you all ! Bass on .
What state do you live in Parker? I’m located right outside Knoxville, Tennessee and have 2-3 single 12” sub boxes and each is a different cu ft from 1.25-2.5. If you are close enough to somewhere that either I myself or someone I know, then I could try to get them to you. They’re 3/4 mdf and carpeted black. I’m almost positive that all 3 are ported to some degree but the small one might be sealed. If they’re something that you could use I’ll donate them to you.
Parker I just wanted to put a warning on this company I order there speakers there glue failed around the cone to the spider and they told me to glue it okay fine I did then I told them that it still doesn't work they told me to send them in and they will see if it's covered under there warranty and you go to there website there not very good at explaining there warranty but if it's not covered under there warranty you have to pay to have them sent back to you just not happy at all with them
Got this in a skar ported running 1100 watts rms and this thing sounds good. Better than most of the Fi audio I use to run. This this beast with triple stacked magnets and 3inh coils
I was thinking the same thing. You don't ever see 12" subs with a sensitivity that high anymore. Stiff suspensions and high xmax are the current trend. Its rare to see softer suspensions like this that don't need 10k watts to be loud
@@gummipk Funny thing is that the rattle in Parker’s video made the song sound like it was going work, work…work, work…work with the rapping. I thought it was part of the song. Sounded cool like that though. Or Pork, pork…pork, pork…pork…
16:40. Lmfao. That boi. Was getting it. Parker i gotta hand it too ya this is exactly why i watch your vidieos . bro. That was 👌 great. Those subs will soon be on the endanger species list.
Hey parker I live in south Africa 🇿🇦 and we have the exact sub like that called star sound mofo..good sub but the tensile are too small hense they burn 🔥 when given 1500rms power though good looking sub
