I only stay at the PC Karachi when I visit. Usually once a year. The staff there are amazing and the restaurants are so good!! The complimentary breakfast is one of the best in all of Pakistan, and Sakura and Jason's steak house are spectacular. The rooms could use a little updating to bring them to international standards, the bathrooms could be a little bigger, and I'm not a fan of how they made the lobby smaller (to add that kids area, wonder if they could have put that somewhere else on the property), but other than that no complaints. @Monetized Monk yes very slow unfortunately. It's been amplified x100 now that I have a proper gigabit connection in the states. I do believe the infrastructure is there and the speeds will be improved over the course of the next few years
@@AKhan.28 Problem is it's In Pakistan technology comes much later like in US than it's much cheaper . Hotel got fastest internet possible in area compared it's still fast afcourse if all rooms whould be busy internet speed would drop a lot . 🤷😂
@@axa897 I've stayed in a lot of hotels in karachi and Lahore. The internet speeds are not good unfortunately. When I stay for extended periods of time in Pak I just buy a ZONG internet device, that usually gives the best speeds
Fujiyama at the Avari Tower Hotel is the best and oldest Japanese restaurant in Karachi, just about 100 meters from Pearl Continental where you guys stayed. The birds eye view of the revolving rooftop restaurant worth the money. Thank you for coming to Pakistan :-) A very Happy belated Birthday to @Harry Jaggard !!

What you shoul've done is attended a local wedding in Karachi. The way you greet everyone is so innocently funny I can only imagine the people's reactions when seeing you in a local wedding, not those fancy upper class ones. That video would be priceless with you wearing your white kurta and enjoying food with the locals at the wedding. The funniest reactions would be from the ladies section as they wouldn't know what to think of you. It would've been a once in a lifetime experience for you with all the wedding photos and celebratory dance that you would've been a part of.

Chris, this is one of 5 star hotels, started as Intercontinental Chain, inaugurated by President of Pakistan, Ayub Khan in 1969, 52 years ago as Intercontinental Hotel, Karachi and later renamed as Pearl Continental, Karachi. There is another 5 star hotel nearby with an open air swimming pool, Avari Tower Hotel, Karachi, which has been part of Ramada Renaissance Chain.

This is very clean hotel!.. I remember when I lived in these parts of the world I would be very careful slowly opening any counter door, cabinet or closet door, I would find a big cockroach staring at me or flying toward me. We called them helicopters since the noise they make when flying. Be safe bro. 🙏
