Nice video! Question about the tunnel and the exit; did the building of the Yacht Club make the exit less of a shock in terms of light-change during the races? Since the yacht club at least meant you exited in shade instead of direct sun-light.

I too had experienced the difficulty in getting in and out of Classic cars due to their big steering wheel. Why was the steering wheel so large? I still don't have the answer till today.

By far my favorite classic, and that spec, white on red, even original leather! I also agree on the fact that it were the first supercar, a lot of people think otherwise but it's pretty obvious IMO.

The 300SL and the E type are two of my all time favorite cars. I remember getting models of them when I was very young and I still have them to this day.

Nico That was the first year 1955 for the gull wing and I believe it was an all aluminum chassis as in model 300SL. SL standing for SUPER LIGHT. Is my statement correct Nico??? GDAY FROM OZ

Changing gear slowly..'double de clutch' as we say in the UK. My first car was a 1950's Morris Minor, had to double de clutch, the gearbox wasn't 'syncromesh'. Also in my car, the drivers seat was only fixed to the floor on one side so everytime i went round a left corner above about 30 miles an hour, the seat would lift up, felt like i was going round on 2 wheels.. lol
