12:32 The actual reason is you're in first class and the thing is local vendors aren't allowed to go in first class and If you do wanna get the vendors the come in 2nd tier and lower unless there's a pantry car in the train because then the chai vendor will be available by Indian railways themselves

Jaipur is called pink city must watch a movie in Raj mandir , hawa Mahal Himachal Pradesh utrakhand ladakh Sikkim and north east is also beautiful Shimla, Manali, atal tunnel, sissu, Rohtang pass......in Himachal Pradesh. Leh to Manali, beautiful passes, pangon lake in ladakh Rishikesh, haridwar badrinath, kedarnath, hemkunt....in utrakhand

5:40 That's the MEMU train (Mainline Electrical Multiple Units) a local passenger train runs between two metrocities, whereas Mumbai local train is EMU trains (Electrical Multiple units) They runs between areas of Mumbai. These trains have coaches made in ICF (Integral Coach Factory) in which you traveeled, Where as other red colored coaches 8:28 are LHB.

14662 JAT-BME Express means Jammu Tawi - Barmer Express. The train runs from Jammu (J&K) to Barmer (Rajasthan) via Old Delhi 03 days in a week by covering a total distance of 1467 KM. This is one of the important train on this route. For better experience and services, try Indian Premium Trains (Rajdhani Express, Duronto Express, Shatabdi Express) next time. You will love it.

Hi Ben. Great video. Just a thing to add, you couldn't find any chai vendor in your train is because you were in First Class. These chai vendors are not allowed in there. If you want to have that experience, try a ride in second class. You should definitely find them and a good adventure too. Love your videos.

That's not the case, if there is a pantry car in the train chai will be made available by railway itself. It must be the case that train does not have pantry car in it. Definitely local chai man is not allowed.

@@abhijeetsingh1755 nowhere in the comment I have mentioned 2nd class or 2nd tier. If their is pantry car you will get Tea whether it is 1st 2nd or 3rd class or whatever the tier is except general class.

I love to see you exploring Chandigarh, Shimla and Manali. Parwanoo Timber trail, Kalka-Shimla toy train, Mall Road Shimla, Jakhu Temple (Shimla) through cable car (don't know started or not yet), Ridge area of Shimla, Nexus Elante Chandigarh(7th of Northern India and 10th largest mall of India, Sukhna Lake Chandigarh, Tikkartal Lake (if possible), Rock Garden and Rose Garden (Chandigarh) and Sector 17 plaza (famous market of Chandigarh). You can use good local Bus system of Chandigarh, prepaid smart bikes or Ola/Uber cab apps to travel within Chandigarh. Ola bike, ola auto and ola outstation is also available in Ola app.

This is some quality vlogging. benjamin shows what really india looks like . a balanced perspective. good and bad sides. have a safe trip mate. looking forward to more. Also dont miss out on indian mountains, i have been to some of the best mountains in foreign lands. but indian mountains are just special . the culture is extraordinary. spend some "more than usual" time exploring indian mountains. himalayas has so much to offer. explore both mainstream touristy places and then going offside . can checkout "ride with frenchy" for a context.

A little extra insight on trains and local food service...America's Deloitte was contracted by Indian Rail to assess revenue opportunities and ever since then, IR has been trying to stop local food vendors and only sell their own services. Needless to say, IR food is scarce and less than impressive. Best method is to bring tiffin with some food.

One advice - Please travel on First Class trains which have LHB coaches for better experience (if possible then, through Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi(Executive Chair Class), New Tejas Rajdhani etc) and as far as local vendors are concerned, They are not allowed in First Class.

Vande Bharat isn't fastest. It is not allowed to run more than 130 kmph while Gatiman can run upto 150.

Take a Ride in 12034 Kanpur shatabdi from New Delhi to Kanpur. That is one of the most clean trains of Indian railways. Kanpur City is also known as Manchester of the East. It is famous for leather industry and also delicious non vegetarian food.

Most of the vendors are illegal and the first class people want privacy, the vendors are going through the train just not disturbing you. The legal IRCTC vendors will only come during a day only trip.

Actually the coach in witch u r travelling is old one..just phasing out..that coach name is ICF ciaches...now in most if trains do not have these coach...most of the trains having LHB coaches..witch are Modern and decent...

U took a wrong train... it takes 6 hrs for jaipur 🤔🤔 shatabdi and Double decker are better trains.. they start feeding u as u get on board... plus they take only 3-4 hrs to reach jaipur... do try them next time u shuttle between jaipur n delhi... !!! 😉

I’m an Indian myself, but I suggest you to avoid trains as much as possible. It would be difficult for you to identify stations because you don’t have displays in the train. Making a conversation in English would also be difficult when you are in rural places

Bro this is AC car, those hawkers which you are referring are not allowed to board AC to sell those snacks or chai (tea). however you can ask your attend attended to serve you as per the IRCTC ( Railway) fixed prices. Do not pay extra.

Original name in Punjabi was always Punj-Ab, which means land of five rivers.
