Normally cooler weather brings less attractive clothing for women but, Victoria has style to spare! You are above all else fantastic people and I really enjoy your chemistry! Rico and Victoria you keep smashing out excellent content and I am glad that you showed this boat as it proves that older boats are worth investing in as well.
Beautiful layout and really functional as well. Great find you two. Love the retro feel with contemporary design - gorgeous. My kind of boat. Wish more boat builders did this kind of work on these size boats. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Victoria is cute. This boat is a great find. I have a 2003 Sea Ray 500. Replaced the floors in the salon with one's that look like the floor on this boat. Also put in Corian counters throughout and G series Raymarine electronics. It makes the boat look at least 10 years younger. People are amazed when they see it. So much room. My wife loves it. This boat is so nicely done. The one thing I would like to know is how they installed the lights in the interior floor. Super nice!
This is impressive. The light colors with dark trim and rounded corners everywhere. Very well executed. And a nice walk through as well. Of course you are my favorite couple on RU-vid doing yacht reviews who are from two different countries - and are married - and both captains. Yup, my two favorites in that broad category.
I had a 72 Sea ray 16ft outboard skiboat. It was a fabulous boat with zero issues in 20 years of use. Evinrude 135hp was super reliable and perfect size for this heavy boat. This looks nice!💖
Just goes to show what can be done with time, money and most importantly imagination. If your not in a rush you can buy a boat cheap and if you can do most of the work yourself end up with something really special. Thanks Nauti for showing something different.
I admit I was sceptical when I first saw this video. Now after watching it I will say this is a very cool interior design. Cheers V&R! Stay safe stay healthy 🙏✌
This is one the best and cheapest live aboard boats you ever reviewed. Love it. Oh.... I just heard you say it’s not for sale. I knew it was too good to be true. There’s no way the owners could do all this work and sell it for $200k. Even if they got the boat for free. It’s clear they have a ton of talent.
I thoughtthe same thing. I would love to know the true cost of obtaining and refitting a boat like this, to this level. Also, no mention of any work done to the motors.
Those red pants are filled very well. That vessel has been really well done. Thank you for the Vlog. Went out boating today (9/26/2020) on the Napa River in my old 1992 Malibu Sunsetter ski boat. Had a nice time.
Lol you guys are funny. Runway on the bow. It is long enough you could put a couple of jet ski's on there easy. This is a very nice boat, they put a lot of work into it. Thanks for sharing.
If I won the lottery, I would park this in Newport, Oregon as my weekend live-aboard. I would so love this. Your two’s live-aboard is nice (great). My Saturday-Sunday watch Football, drink beer, eat Ribs and salad boat. And when the Pacific is kind of calm, grab a pole and fish, and eat fresh fish. And hunt Dungeness crabs. Love the guest cabin. I like boat living, and RV’s. The master Bed is great, too. Oh, damn, not for sale! I guess, flipping one of a lower price, is an option. Nice, Thanks for an inspirational video. The Catalina wine mixer worthy boat.
What a great work. Minimalist, easy to roaming around and super handy roaring machine. This is absolutely my type. I will double the price if they don't want to sell it. 😅👌👌 At least they should put it on a rent to spend weekends or holidays on Islands.
Fantastic remodel, heck that would look good for a new boat, love the main cabin and the master suite is great, well except for the gold shower trim, other than that, big thumbs up. Love the notice on the shower, that is fantastic.
Another enjoyable episode. Thank you, needed a little 🤗 after work. I think the architect used as many mirrors as he/she possibly could..opens it up but you see yourself everywhere you look. Not a problem for some people though. Lol. All in all its a great refit. Love it. 🏴☠️🙂
That's a bargain for a yacht so big and nice! They did a great job with the refit, the aft cockpit and helms station is a great place to hang out. In our marina, there is a sea ray 500, the bow of those things are massive, I once saw 15 people standing on the bow for a picture. Looks like a very fun boat to chill and party.
A beautiful refit, for sure! It's an old video, but I am making some notes... mainly for my own education: Those speakers on the bow are cool, but I'd be more interested in the stainless steel anchor and chain. Worth pointing out. Looks like there are big speakers also on the top of the roof, by the radar dome. Real party boat! It seems two of the outside speakers near the sofa have been moved lower than before, and the original holes covered by white plates... I can't see why this is an improvement, but maybe someone who is really interested in sound can explain. That big curved outside Samsung screen may not last long in salty weather... and I doubt if the picture can even be seen on a sunny day. For watching TV in the evenings, the position may not be comfortable either. The helm position looks great... but I do not like so much having many different colours for the electrical switches. The teak deck outside looks fake, and the two-colour deck in the salon looks to me strange. Love the redesign of the inside staircase..! Definitely a good idea to remove some storage and rather have more space to move around. But not so keen on the now sharp angles around that area... as it does not fit with the rest of the room. The salon has too many colours and materials for my taste..; Not just many types of wood and beige and brown but also black and silver, etc. A bit too much for a small space? White plastic covers for A/C vents could have been easily replaced with something stainless, to match the other hardware. And that plastic shower has to go! Fittings and faucets should be consistent. The design in the master bathroom is a mix of gold, silver, white, black, brown and what not...; Looks a bit much. Not sure about pink light under the bed. I'd just use warm white, like for the other lights. As others have said, that gold trim shower looks out of place. Perhaps it was decided to keep it as a relic of the past. The engines need some love, too! Hopefully that is their next project. And of course, we might point out that the two stroke Series 92 engines left the market in 1995, as four stroke engines then arrived... So, this was the tail end of the era of thirsty propulsion. Overall, though, a fantastic job done with the boat!
We all ogled over the boat on the premier, so I'll comment on other matters. First, and I'm not usually fashion-guy, but I loved your big brass button jacket on this one. It's very captain-y, and you carry it well, Captain. Second, thank you both for taking such care to give us all those smooth, steady camera moves, especially on turnarounds and transitions. You don't jiggle, jump, or whip us about, and it moves at a pace that doesn't lose our place. That makes it both way more comfortable to experience, and easier to keep oriented to the layout. The difference is noticeable! Thank you for all your hard work and care to make these presentations the most enjoyable, and I'm looking forward to what you will have to show us next. Have a great week :)
Vicky my wife thinks you fashion scene is fantastic she now watches you channel now for holiday ideas I must agree you always look stunning (like my wife) keep up the good work Nick&sue 😘😘😘 from the UK......
ooow, Thank you so much 😊 Hi Sue 👋🏻 I will be adding shopping link and nautical fashion inspos to the Blog this month www.nautistyles.com make sure to subscribe
She tell me her favourite is the black and white trouser suit she says it fits well and would make her bum look hot 👍👍👍👍👍👍 was that purchased in the states🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Make sure you have a full survey done and check for soft spots in the hull and deck, especially the stringers and transom. Sea rays of that era are known for those problems. Google David pascoe marine surveyor to get his opinion of sea rays.
What a fantastic transformation! I was not expecting that but that’s now a very desirable boat. Great tour and good to see a bit more of Rico; you two make a great team and I love your tours.
Super boat. I have to ask you. When you pass through the interior of the boat, then indicate the height of the premises. Or overlay text indicating the height of the ceiling. For example, I am 6 ft, 6.7 in (2 meters) tall and have a hard time finding a comfortable boat.
You can find 50’ Sea Ray beaters for $99k, if you know what you are doing and very importantly if the engines and hull are in great shape, if all you need to do is cosmetic if your doing it yourself $75k and you can have a boat like that, use a third party and double that price and quadruple the time to get it done
I've seen this video a year ago, and today i looked at it again as i can buy the exact same model for 25k with running engines. just needs a interior upgrade. thinking about making it just like this one!
Very Impressive renovation of a 1994 Sea Ray Sundancer. Would you take my 2006 Sea Ray Sundancer as a shore boat???? I will go anywhere you tow me. Really great job on the upgrades all over.
@@NautiStyles Actually only a limited amount of hours on a 26 year old boat that lacked maintenance presents many problems. At least once a month the engine should run 30 minutes along with genset, refig. ect. Sea Rays also have a history of hull / bulkhead problems. Refit is nice but $250K it's all just lipstick, might be on a pig no say. Video work nicely done as always. Just a question, what's with always wearing strips. Looks great just wondered.
94 wow. Kurt Cobain dies, OJ chased in Al Cowlings White Bronco, Persian Gulf conflict starts, Nancy Kerrigan gets clubbed over the knee, Kim Il-sung dies of a heart attack, Russia invades Chechnya & this beast of a Yacht is born.
fantastic refit. do you have any resources that provide refit products for late 90s searays? I have a 54 ft that i love but would like to do some updating such as the one illustrated.
@@NautiStyles no just let the camera show us the inside which you describe very well but just as the camera goes to look you close the closet it’s frustrating, then your videos will be excellent for me and others!
Major bummer! Got all excited thinking I found a boat I'd actually buy and 2/3 of the way into the video she says it's not for sale....... Why was a price quoted in the title If it's not for sale? Frustrating. Hopefully you'll have a boat like this for sale soon,. I'll keep watching :/
Nice boat. I'll go one step further - All Solar Panel Electric. Rip-out the Engine, replace with batteries. 2 Torgeedo 80hp. A 5hp Torgeedo with foldable Solar panel for tender. Drape the Meow-Catwalk with Solar Panels. Say catch me if you can to all other boats - SILENTLY!
I am a new subscriber to the channel. I have lived a lifetime on, around, captaining, and repairing boats of all shapes and sizes. The refit here is very exceptionally done. The interior and exterior are beautiful. My only negative on the project is. Why keep the same Detroit engines? There are more than a few choices comparable in weight to horse power ratio's. Just from the quick peek inside the engine room. I was able to connect my experience with Detroit Diesel engines. As to what they are experiencing. Detroit's are very reliable. They are inexpensive to repair. I can do a in frame overhaul myself(bearings, sleeves, pistons, injectors). But in the world we live in today. The leakage of oil can cause a lot of problems. Our saying in the marine industry is. Is if it's not leaking it's not running. I would have done a engine swap after spending the money they have spent. It just makes sense to reposer the boat.
