I agree 100% about the recycled packaging when they are selling to collectors who for there best interest are going to keep it all intact, and showcase it. Great logic on that one Dan. They should be pandering to the collectors and it's not the place to be virtual signalling in my opinion. Which ain't much only been collecting for a minute.
Very nice...animals are. warriors too.. yea I think horses and dogs when I think war animals, I do know that carrier pigeons were used in ww2, never seen a war kitty
Great video Dan. I think they are absolutely beautiful coins. Got the c mint mark ones but unfortunately not the silver 😢. I believe the ram is only taking advantage of everyone and seeing $$$ signs in their eyes. If they keep on minting coins in such huge numbers where is the fun of collecting coins going to end up?? The whole point of serious collectors like us is buying coins we love and being rare in the future. That's what coin collecting is all about isn't it??. Cheers Dan 👍
I feel like the gold coin purple poppy is such high mintage because of the previous red poppy coins selling for hundreds of dollars. Such a high mintage evens out supply and demand
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think it’s hard the get the mintage right… if it’s too low, we will complain it’s to hard to get and they should have minted more. But when they try and mint more to meet demand, it makes it less collectible!!
awesome looking coin. like these types of videos. hopefully these are not hard to find in change and not all release in one area of Australia. maybe a good question for you to ask when you do your interview at the aust mint. how come they dont release these types of coins evenly through out Australia? and do they have any plans to do a 2024 royal visit coin? they probably will. thanks
Got an email from a distributor saying they got more stock on countdown & remembrance coins expecting just the carded coins & saw the silver & snapped it up, right place at the right time, hoping it actually gets sent & wasn’t an error on their part listing it
I see your coin roll has the spider effect on the poppy as well. Mine is worse than yours, sad really that the paint is coming off all ready. cheers Robin
2 million for circulation of war animals non c mint mark. Not sure how many rolls. I managed to score all in ballot and several more c mints via fb coin groups. More than likely to get grade of 7:59 ms70dcam with proof coin anyway. Wife bought two silver proofs for $600 which I reckon is a bargain. Cheers
Nice vid. I scored the Vietnam Silver for RRP, and managed to win the Puple Poppy in a Ballot through the mint. Also won 2 Carded C mint Purples from 2 different ballots, along with 2 Countdown fifties. I also scored the roll in a ballot that came with a tube and an individual coin in a very nice square display case. I missed out on the Silver bluey but I did manage 2 x albr blueys. Don't worry, I know how lucky I am. I like the new ballot system. Missed a couple, but won quite a few. Saves spending the day on a crashed website, or 500 phone calls. LOL. Cheers Dan.
Quality of the rolls is appalling, anyone with even half a brain would know not to put paint on the highest parts of a coin especially with how they are packaged
