This is a really great room. As a solo, I thought the price sounded so high, but I’m learning from other families that it seems like a decent price actually!

Great video! We also had this same infinite family ocean view room and loved the extra space for the 3 of us! It was so nice to have the bathroom and shower area separated! We used the baskets under the stairs to hold clothes and used one of the kid area drawers for dirty clothes! So much storage space and it’s nice to have separate TVs for everyone!

My family of 6 has this exact room booked for September! Thank you for this thorough video! I like the layout with the sofa being near the infinite balcony. Makes that hangout space a tad bit larger when we have the pullout sofa put up.

OK! Congrats to the nice review. Those "infinite" cabins with just a window instead of a balcony are the cruise industry's future. If done right they'll permit you to have actually a ton of more usable space for you and your belongings. That is surprisingly important on a ship, and with shore ex and evening entertainment, you actually quite rarely use your balcony either way. On this installment RCI decided to do it middle the road between a traditional balcony ship space configuration and a traditional land hotel one. I hope on next installments they go full land hotel room configuration for those cabins as MSC is doing on their World class ships. On this one this room is genius and actually very well laid out!... As for the current price tag; permit me TBHH: RCI might very well to have given this ship some sort of an X ship resemblance... But this is NOT an X ship with the premium X experience... It is still a mainstream RCI ship with the mainstream RCI experience... So; for me NO. I wouldn't pay up "that" premium fare to travel mainstream on that ship. I would either way to go X or simply to go mainstream on an older ship till the prices go down to the normal mainstream line experience tag. Or let RCI to create a premium family friendly X experience for the Icon class.

Were in a standard balcony room, but I'm thinking of upgrading us to a junior suite.. only problem is taking the risk of not knowing where we'll be located. Have you ever bid to upgrade? Thank you for the tour! Now I know this room would be too much space for our little family of 3 😅

Thank you for watching. We actually did royal up to get this room we were originally booked in a surfside balcony. Yes location is very important but you do get to have a higher room at a fraction of the cost to book it out right.

@@dnqexp true, thank you for the info! When I called the guy said it was about a 25% chance of an obstructed view.. I might take the chance lol! The Junior Suite is just way more room, and for an 8 day cruise I worry that standard balcony is going to start to feel super cramped!

It would be the same as a regular quad room that has a pulldown bed. If that fits then it should be fine

No thanks- I just booked a Celebrity Concierge Class (2 balcony connecting rooms) for just under 14,000 (For Alaska for Aug 2025)- my package includes wifi for 4 and the drink package. Icon prices are nuts and I will wait a few years before I even think of it. Aug 2025 is my son's 13th birday. He asked for Alaska. But I said he could go anywhere within reason.
