@@DavidSriracha unfortunately not! I live in Belfast but Ireland is relatively small so I travel to Dublin for the day sometimes. Unlike other cuisines there are not very many typical Irish dishes. We have great simple meals like roasts with lots of vegetables and potatoes of course and some famous items like Irish stew and potato bread, things like that. There are also very few buffets over here too, mostly Asian and just ok, nothing very special. We have a Korean BBQ and hotpot restaurant for £26 /$35. The other buffets are also expensive and very hit and miss. You will always be able to find a great carvery on a Sunday over there though, I went to a nice one today! 1. Cold and hot starters. Small selection like salads and cocktail sausages. 2. Soup. Choice of vegetable broth or potato and leek. 3. Main course carvery, only one trip. Meats: roast beef, turkey and ham. Includes lots of varieties of veg and potatoes. 4. Desert, only one item. I had banoffee pie, it was great with some ice cream. 5. Tea/coffee from a machine. All for £30 / $40 I think if you come to Ireland it will mostly be for the scenery and the craic! (Craic means fun / good times) ☺️

The carvery you mentioned sounds like a solid experience, especially with the roast meats and all those veggies and potatoes😄. The banoffee pie with ice cream sounds like the perfect dessert to top it off too! It’s interesting how buffets over there are mostly Asian, and I get what you mean about them being hit or miss. I don’t know when I’m going to get a chance to visit Ireland, but it’s definitely on my bucket list! And I’ve heard of Belfast from watching Sons of Anarchy 😄

@@DavidSriracha lol I’m so glad that very few of us have that super strong accent from Sons of Anarchy, loved that show!! I lived in England for 12 years after university and then came home so the accents are strange for me too but lots of fun - one hour in any direction sounds so different, I wonder if it’s like that where you are? There is lots to see in Ireland so if you make it over to Europe sometime it’s definitely worth spending g a few days to relax and enjoy the sights like the Titanic museum, the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland and literally hundreds of places in the south of Ireland. Especially if you are a Game of Thrones fan as a lot was filmed here too - the dark hedges are the King’s Road! If you ever make the trip let me know so I can help you plan etc! Love to you all x

@@bigosoatx Trompo taco is basically al pastor, where they stack marinated pork slices on a vertical skewer and cook it on a rotating spit. The first time I had it in Mexico, they called it al pastor, they added a few fresh slice of pineapple and it was absolutely amazing! Here in the States, when I order al pastor, it’s usually just chopped marinated pork, which isn’t quite the same.
