Just a warning, while it does depend on your phone, and you will have to adjust the lenses for the best quality VR, the actual virtual reality itself is equivalent to google cardboard. The headset itself is obviously much nicer looking and much more comfortable, but it still suffers from the incessant black edges on your vision, making it extremely NOT immersive.

What app do you guys use to watch 3D Movies? I tried VRPlayer and it works well with 3D Movies from YTS, but you have to pay to remove the annoying pop up advertisements or slide phone out often. Humido Player doesn't handle the 3D movies well if you watch them flat, but works fine on curved and sphere settings. I'm looking for a player that can play back 2D and 3D mkv and avi files.

I just got one a week ago for $1. But it was not well-cared for, so a lot of the finer plastic bits are now broken. Also, it didn't come with the foam/rubber pads or the Bluetooth controller. For what it is, it's still a passable piece of equipment if you're broke/poor.

take care guys !!!! it looks like some people have some problems with vrbox2 cause i think there is a forgery version : using the remote --> no mouse apears, buttons not rightly assigned, the joystick only up and down volume... I don't know if there is a software solution... it seems to be a forgery ! how u can check: if there no glass behind the sliding door (not sure). and the remote nothing wrote on it and there is a blue light. the original remote has "Bluetooth" wrote and i don't know if there is a blue light... thief land 😰

Yup, I know. If you watch on a computer, you'll see a note/annotation on the video correcting my mistake. I originally read an article about this product being Japanese, so I said it without thinking. I cannot read any East Asian language, so I didn't think twice. I've had it corrected ever since I posted the video up :)

The spring loaded clamp that holds the phone in the cradle is dangerously over-strong, and encourages the phone to suddenly flip out of the cradle and drop to the floor. The tiny cushion pads are woefully inadequate, and as standard this product does not come with a bluetooth control so it doesn't even have the basic magnetic switch in the almost free Google Cardboard. This device does have adjustable lenses but that is the only thing going for it. The cradle is very hard and brittle and can easily scratch or even break your phone without a lot of care.

+Raja That! I tried the samsung gear vr. It was completely immersive. It felt like I was actually there. But some reviews say these cheap alternatives from China looks like you're looking into a box with your phone in the distance or peeping through a hole. The walls on some models we're even visible so that really sucks.

+Raja That! Bought one. It looked like I'm in a theater which isn't VR. then again, I had a Xiaomi Mi4C which is only 5". Not immersive for my phone. Possibly immersive for phones with bigger screens. Just had a look at your vid again. +Julio says I had to skip it because i had to use both hands to figure it out. Couldn't film with one hand and put it on with one. I looked at the instructions and it was quite straight forward. just have to be very careful when putting it on.

Raja That! Hey man, it's cool, I've found out since that the Blue Glass is a UV screen for ease on the eyes after a few hours of viewing.. To anyone else wondering: 'The front housing pops off, allowing the application of the blue glass, but try getting the dust off the side the lens looks at.. almost impossible.. and you'd never get access to clean the lens eye that looks at the fone... many sellers are removing the blue glass package due to complaints (of dust build up) .. easier for it not to be there to cause issue... found that intel on the blue glass mystery since I was last here.. many thanks.. hope this info helps the next random who gets, ''blue glass with babblefish translate'' heheh.. :)

i bought this thing today and spent whole afternoon and evening trying to make it work. at the beginnning i was excited about having joystick with glasses as well, but the damn thing just doesnt do anything besides changing phone's volume apparently and some other minor functions which are useless for having any possibility to interact or even at least to move forward in the environment lets say. did joystick work for anyone here? any tips how to make it work? its supposed to work on iphones as well, which is my case

True, but it was thrusted into the limelight whenever Palmer (the founder of Oculus) had a successful Kickstarter campaign. Subsequently, they were bought out by FB - this made other companies look into VR , and thus, we are seeing devices like the VR Box and others.

did anyone else have problems with veins in their eyes bursting from using this for long periods? I used mine last night for about 45 minutes, and after I looked in the mirror and my eyes were very red with big patches around the irises and the right iris almost looked stretched sideways. I kept it in fairly good focus (my eyes are decent) but I did struggle with it back and forth a little. Is it just hypochondria, is it bright screens (nexus 5X), is it this specific case or do people get that with cheap or even expensive headsets in general??

Yes sir. It wasn't practical and PCs weren't powerful enough. It was pushed to the forefront whenever Palmer Luchey (whom happens to have the biggest collection of VR modules) launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Oculus that was very successful. Subsequently, larger companies started looking into VR once FB acquired Oculus.

Everyone's different. Some people have no problem. Some people have sensitive eyes. Prolonged use (hours) could possibly strain your eyes.

I am about to review Google's new VR headset. It looks amazing and it's their first official headset. It'll cost $80 whereas this costs $30. If you have extra cash, get the google one. If you just wanna try something out - then get this one.

Also it will feel a lot more "real" than google cardboard. Cardboard is very cheap and doesn't come with straps. It's also very uncomfortable. In the better VR headsets, you can adjust the lens width and distance from your eye for a better experience.

Thanks for reply, it really helped me! But the question remains ''Does VR Box feel real?'' i mean not the Headset itself (obviously) but games and apps with it.

it depends on the app you're using. Some developers are using high quality footage in video tours and some aren't. Similarly with games, some developers have done it well and some haven't...I will try to find some good suggestions for you
