Because i bought it around $99 at Carousell reseller. At that price this device is unbeatable, not considering second hand flagships. Excellent HRR screen, Samsung's OLED display at that too, G99 Ultra being way more efficient and stable than regular G99, decent-ish cameras (GCam mod AGC saved this camera by a long shot), and 67w fast charging. What more could i ask for? Btw this is my backup phone. Z flip 3 5G being my main all around device. Also also, can you review Redmi Buds 5? (not Pro)
To anyone who's planning to get this phone, be VERY certain that you're NOT sensitive to PWM. Even though poco is advertising a 1920 Hz PWM flicker rate, there is also an additional separate flicker of 119hz according to notebookcheck and they assume this to be due to black frame insertion as a means of reducing both motion blur and the risk of burn in.
So excited to get my ordered m6 pro later today! Finally getting the arguably best bang for the buck phone of the year. This is coming from Samsung Note, iPhone and lowend Oppo user. ;)
@@gguninstall7491 got mine already. How i wish i can share photo in comment section... This phone is beyond satisfying! So happy with the purchase and the price i pay with.. i mostly use it now even preferably than my iPhone 13 lol
This year is insane for phone upgrades, I got Red Magic 9 Pro (great hw, bad sf) coming from Mi 10T Pro which is still like day 1 in every aspect. In october SD 8 gen4 is coming and by all accounts it's a step up. But this year already, midrange is just bonkers for price / performance ratio!
Thanks for sharing but yes I feel the same! Not in terms of chip (still mostly around the performance of Helio G99) but in other aspects? It’s just crazy I really want to try the RedMagic’s out though!
@@namedkenn Yup, chip is a bit dated no doubt but for average user (no video editing for work etc) it's more then enough for a daily driver, such a well rounded phone! Hope you enjoy it ^^ Thank you for reply and have a wonderful day
When i've first saw this phone and its unbeatable price (the 8gb ver) i was very surprised having it mind the 120hz amoled screen which is a blessing. Everything nice until i saw which processor does it uses and it was an instant regret. With a Helio like that you won't take advantage of those 120hz by ANY chance at all... Although is a 10 for daily use.
I have been using poco f1 for 300$ since launch which is 6 years already and it still works fine even with a lot of fall damage and heavy usage including gaming. I only changed the battery this year since battery deteriorates. I’m thinking if my phone ever breaks, i’m going for this. Honestly pocophone is really good value with extemely cheap price
Really great to see the first POCO still kickin’ in 2024, and yes 6 years is already a super long time for a battery so changing is very normal I hope your phone won’t break soon, but we have great options when you want to shop a new one!
@@L_Pope stopped receiving update 2 years ago. So far i havent noticed anything security concerning or system slowing down. No reason to change to a new phone really.
To be completely honest, I don't know if the ads system is a thing because I've been using POCO (and Xiaomi by extension) for years at this point and I've never been bothered by a single ads when using it, nothing suddenly popped up or things like that, but maybe like I showed in the video some notifications from GetApps, Themes, but just turn them off and we good
ads are only in cleaner ,built in video player ,nothing else .just downloaded a cracked video player with no ads and just close cleaner after cleaning .you don't have to watch ads lol
@@Mortalpill yeah agreed it's more like you don't need these apps too much in the first place, and like the video player you can just download VLC and forget the built in one for good, something like that
nothing wrong with USB type A, it depends on your needs for me i need it to connect my phone to my desktop PC which doesn't have type C ports, you can just buy a new cable for your laptop and you're good to go
Hey man that would be perfect! Thing is I found using the Infinix more for my son because it’s got kids mode first of all (you can set time limit and apps that you allow), and secondly there’s extra dim which is not on the POCO/Xiaomi phones I think the basic Note40 4G would do you just fine, more about it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w6ySCua6jkI.htmlsi=aBKDKqox5Wl2U7ZT
Key Kenneth, what would you pick. Soundpeats engine 4 currently for $27or minipro hs for $28. I saw your review of engine 4 as best earbuds under 60 and here i can get it for $27 but you didn't mention aboyt hs pro mini
To be completely honest with you I've never got the chance to try out the Mini Pro HS so I couldn't say how it is, but what I can say from experience is earbuds with ANC is almost always inferior in sound quality to those without (since they have to spend some money on it you know) So if you need ANC go for Mini Pro HS, and if you want the best SQ then go for Engine4
Very nice review, but unfortunately there's so less to see about the camera features and qualities, especially the video capability. Can you do make a video review of this phone's Camera features and tests? thanks
Well to be honest the cameras here are nothing to write home about (it's downright bad imo) so that's why it's not a focus of the review But in the phones I'm reviewing next (Infinix Note40 Pro+ and POCO X6 Pro) I'll definitely get to that!
@@namedkenn Thank you for your reply. I recently ordered one and got the 256gb variant for only $138. Hopefully HyperOS is more stable than MIUI in the longrun🤞
@@Hnz_000 HyperOS is basically an Improve version of MIUI. My Poco X5 Pro Got smoother and optimized when I updated to HyperOS. Like when I turn on the phone and use it right away, MIUI lags my Poco a bit. With HyperOS it has less lag. Overall it's basically the same except HyperOS is expected to be smoother as updates goes by. Effectively making it the new MIUI at least that's what I understood.
Do you recommend buying this phone under $200 or is there any rumors about other phones releasing with the same price and performs better to the Poco M6 Pro?
@@namedkenn Yeah that's alright thanks for the info haha. Good timing on my way to purchase the Poco M6 Pro. I'm buying it for a family member Edit: I'm buying it for $150
@@proxyhx2075 i think so cuz the download speed is a huge difference. When I use my dad's 4g phone to download something like an app it's takes forever
No but I reckon there is a version with 5G, it's always a thing in this budget range to have both 4G and 5G version to cut costs as much as possible for those countries who do not have 5G
3 years later from poco m3 pro and the phone has gone backwards...no 5g...3 years ...3 versions later...and they are back to 4g...unacceptable...crap phone
@@delvianandriano2113 3 generations after 3? It should be upgraded everywhere.. This one downgraded ( OK it is connectivity only.. But... You cannot do that rather m4 and m5 pro)
Bro its $200 phone. And in most city in indonesia, i dont think in the next 5 years, 5G coverage will be good enough. By that time, most people probably has upgraded their phone already.
Thanks inputnya kak! Kemarin sebenernya agak dikebut sih reviewnya, mungkin kita bisa showdown sedikit nanti di YT shorts vs Infinix haha stay tuned ya!
@@Kourbel_MYou have to be careful as Xiaomi loves to release 4G and 5G versions of their phones across multiple variants. Like Redmi Note 13 4g/5g, and Note 13 Pro 4G/5G. 😅
you all should know that one day this phone will just go black and you lose all your data due to cheap parts. happened to my poco x3 after 993 days ago so now I'm gonna buy a flagship instead
Usually, cpu and ram are soldered separately. But on x3pro, they are phisically stacked. Maybe when gaming, the cpu goes too hot and destroy the ram, but idk But from what im reading, past couple years buying xiaomi (or poco) is not worth the risk. Better get infinix or tecno instead, it's the same specs but cheaper and more durable. or go for higher like oppo/vivo instead
